Lucky

We have made it this far with two boys and never having to make a run to the ER. Today, we thought we had to go. Long story, but Lawson got his finger smashed in the back door. We thought it was broken, so we were rushing out the door to take him in. But then when we looked at it again, it didn't look so bad so we stayed home and kept an eye on it. Fortunately, it just looked better and better so we think we are safe. We'll see what it looks like tomorrow. But, he wasn't even fussy tonight so I'm thinking it's not hurting him. We talked about how lucky we have been so far to not have had any emergencies with the boys....

On another note, remember the neighbors that Lincoln brought cookies to but they were gone?? Well, Lincoln has been scouting out their house waiting for them to return. They finally returned, they were in Europe for 3 weeks!! So, of course Lincoln insisted that we needed to make/bring them cowboy cookies. So, tonight after I put Lawson down for bed, Lincoln and I made a double batch of cookies. We will bring some to three of our neighbors tomorrow. Lincoln loves that kind of thing......

How scary!! We have been really fortunate also with not having any broken bones. I guess we should all knock on lots of wood. I am so glad Lawson's finger is looking better. Give it a kiss from us!!

Lincoln, I am so proud of you for always wanting to take care of other people! You do such a good job of taking care of Lawson and wanting to share your cowboy cookies! You look like such a big boy when you are reading books! I think that one day maybe you will write your own book. It won't be long before you will be able to read the words in all of your books! Maybe you can read a book to me when we visit in a few weeks. Will you make some cowboy cookies for us too? I miss you lots and lots. We can't wait to see you soon!! Lots and lots of love...Auntie Sue-Sue
