Trick or Treat

We headed out early, about 6:00, with the 2 neighbor boys for our trick or treating. Fun was had by all. Boy, do we have a lot of candy....

(Lincoln is Woody and his horse, Bullseye, from Toy Story 2)

PJ's

This morning for Bible Study, it was Pajama Day for the children's program. Way cool... Here are some pics on our way out. Lincoln was still half asleep, but look how thrilled he is about this hug from Lawson...

School Party

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Lincoln was his last years costume, ELMO, for his preschool party. Here he is in front of his school and in his classroom...

Paint

Ever heard of sidewalk paint made by Crayola??? Cool stuff... messy yet washable...

More Last Game Pics

Just taking a little rest in outfield....

Having some first base coaching....

Waiting on Second, Ready to run to third. Check out the other little one....

Yay, home run Lincoln...

No more Tball until the Spring...

Grandpa Loo

Grandpa Lucek will be here for a quick visit this weekend. Looking forward to seeing you...

OK Jen, am I caught up on my postings now??

Bob

Guess What?
We have a (tame) Bobcat in our neighborhood. Keep hearing about sightings. Our neighbor even petted it before she knew it was a bobcat. She said she felt that it was unusually muscular for a cat, then it just leaped away into the tree's. I have to say we have ton's of wildlife right here on our street including racoons, opposums, squirrels, bobcats, owl's, ducks, frogs, cats, dogs, Bunny's, turtles, just for a starter....
Ron's out right now cutting down some firewood to prepare us for some nice fire's over the winter.... We are hoping for more snow this year.
I'll say to Bob for you if we see him.... (Hello....Aren't Bobcats dangerous??)

HUGS

HUGS it is!!!

The Rangers

We got Lincoln's Baseball pictures back. Besides the mark on his shirt and the hat making his ears stick out, I like them... This is their "silly" team photo, which I prefered over the regular team photo... He got a ton of pics in his package, trading cards, a magazine cover w his picture on it. I'll be mailing some of you them.....Maybe wait until his school pics come back too....

(oh yeah, they spelt his name wrong on his trading cards, so I'm going to see if I can get some more)

Lincoln is the one in the back second to the left. I know they all look alike...

Last Game of The Season

It was Lincoln's last game of the Tball season on Saturday. Watch the video to see how much he improved at hitting from the 1st game (there is a video posted of his first hit). What a difference 12 games makes. It was a fun season, he wants to play again for the spring season which is in April.... The team is going to try to stay together with the same coach.

Dirt

We had to haul in lot's and lot's of dirt for our back yard. The yard is at a slant, so in order to put in a swing set and other play things for the boys, we had to build a wall and level off the yard. Come see it to understand what I am talking about. BUT, it was a dream come true for the boys to play in the dirt piles in our driveway until the dirt was hauled to the back. Now we are on a hunt for the perfect swingset, we are ready to go..... We just may have found one...

Just The Three Of Them

We met the twins, Maddie and Ryan, and their mom and baby sister at the FM Pumpkin Patch today. We all went on the hayride, jumped in the bounce houses, went through the hay maze, and had a picnic lunch. Good Times....
Here are some cute pics of Lincoln and The Twins Just Having Some Fun.....

Struggle

For those of you that have witnessed or may have even attempted the almost impossible diaper change on Lawson. Imagine how difficult it has been for me to put on socks, shoes, diaper, pants, shirt, and jacket.... I am not exagerating when I tell you this is a complete work out for me. We literally are rolling around the floor as he struggles. He hates any clothes on him. And he is strong. Very strong. I challenge anyone in a complete dressing of this child. It's going to be a long winter....
BUT let me tell you how adorable he looks in his cold weather clothes... His long sleeved button downs and khaki pants, make him look so grown up.... He got SO many random comments today on how cute he was.... It's the blonde hair and blue eyes that capture everyone's attention. AND he has become quite the show off/ flirter to passerby's. He learned this from his big brother, who he calls Bubba....

Sure Can't Complain

Today must have been the perfect day for me. The weather was great (70 and sunny), Lawson and I are better, housecleaner came today, I had a dentist appt and had NO cavities (ice cream here I come), Great Day at Bible Study, Rons car problems were covered due to a recall, etc... etc... I love these kind of days... Busy, but good.

A Friend

These are a few pics from a couple of weeks ago when we met friends at the pumpkin patch. This is Lincoln's friend, Jacob, and he has a little brother who is Lawsons age. This family goes to our church, so we know them from MOPS and a bible study. All 4 boys have so much fun together, we try to get together for playdates as much as possible.... He is a year older than Lincoln...

Gymnastics Today

Lawson was feeling good enough to go to gymnastics today. He has missed 2 classes due to being sick, so I had a great idea to ask today. They let me use his 2 makeup classes to sign Lincoln up for 2 classes, so for the next 2 Tuesdays they will have back to back classes. Fun. Here are some pics from today...
At the end of each class, Coach Candice blows bubbles, and every time Lawson lifts up his shirt so she can blow bubbles on his belly. See Winnie the Pooh? We missed class last week, so we didn't know this week was dress up in costume week.... So, Lawson was the only one not in a costume....

Great Form, he can hold himself up forever and do chin ups: He is pretty tough...

Round and Round

At home and at gymnastics, one of Lawsons favorite things to do in go round and round and round and round. Here is today at gymnastics going round and round....

The Laws

Here are some pics of Lawson today, proof that he is feeling better.... He is still taking breathing treatments, steroid, and antbiotics. I think it's all these meds that is making him irritable, but today was a much much better day. You can tell in these pics that his face is still flushed.... AND after 6 weeks of ME being sick, my cough is finally gone and I'm feeling good.... Answered prayers...

Button

To those of you that know me well, you will be proud of me for sewing on the button to Lincoln's shirt today.....

I'm very sad to say, that this is my first button sewing experience... Ron has always been the button sewer in our family....

Not quite ready to dust off the sewing machine yet, that thing intimidates me...

Deb

Here is a big hello to my MIL
Can't wait to see you, pretty soon...

Pnemonia Update

Now that we got creative, and Lawson is taking his breathing treatments, he is doing a lot better. He is very very very moody/irritable, but I think the meds are doing that to him. Other than that, his cough, etc... has made lots of improvement and he should be fully recovered soon...

Tea

Yes he stole my ice tea.
Yes, he then put acorns in it.
Yes, then he dumped it all out on the dirt to make mud.
Yes, I was soo thirsty.
Was I mad?? No, look at those EYELASHES, I can't be mad at him long. He gets those lashes from his Daddy.

Sandbox

We got a sand box (with a cover) yesterday, and today Ron and Lincoln went to go buy some sand to put in it. This is going to be hours and hours of backyard fun....

Gangster Names

Let's play a game.
Click on Comment and write your:
Favorite Icecream
Favorite Cookie....
This is your "gangster name"
I am the "Chocolate Cowboy"
Ron is "Pistachio Choc Chip"
Lincoln is "Mint Chip Oreo"
Lawson is "Vanilla Sugar"

OK, ours are kind of dumb.... Let's see who you are....

H.O.T.

Yup, it's hot here in Dallas. Supposed to be 94 tomorrow. Just doesn't fit with fall... But its nice that my little one with pnemonia can still play outside, since we can't do too much else...
We had our community garage sale this am, and I used all the proceeds to buy the boys a new sand box and a second Radio Flyer Tricyle... now they don't have to fight... Lincoln is outside right now with a neighbor boy having tricycle races on the two.... I also went and bought Lawson 2 new pairs of shoe's, some Nike's and Sketchers... So, it was well worth our 2 hrs of work we put into it.
Lincoln had his ball game this afternoon, but I stayed home with Lawson... Lincoln only has 2 more ball games of the season.
Oh yeah, after our 94 degrees tomorrow, we have a cold front coming in with a supposed high of 64 on Monday. That will be nice for us. I'm ready to put some fall clothes on the boys...

Soap

When we are at home for a whole week, we have to get creative in our daily activities. I let Lawson do things like this when he is sick, just to keep him busy and happy.

I let him pump out the WHOLE thing of soap in the sink and that was so so so much fun for him, I needed to clean the sink anyways...

He also has been taking like 3 baths a day, because it makes him happy and relaxed...

Rain

When it rains it pours, so they say. So, it's storming over here!!
Lawson isn't doing better, so he has to go back to the dr today at 2pm for a followup. Breathing treatments have been somewhat impossible, but I have some new idea's from friends to try out.
I pick up Lincoln (usually) from the carpool line, so I don't have to get Lawson out of the carseat and take him inside the school where he usually ends up having a tantrum bc he wants to play with all the toys in Lincoln's room. Anyway, so I do the same thing everytime. they put Lincoln in the car, then I pull up and buckle him in, then I get out of the driveway of the school so the others can get out. As soon as I get out of the driveway, I turn around and give both boys their sippy cup and a snack. Then I put on my seatbelt. I do this same exact routine every time, that's how we operate.... However, yesterday there was a police officer parked outside of the school, pulled me over, and issued me a TICKET for not wearing a seat belt. No mercy... Isn't there something better for these police officers to be doing than sitting in front of schools and issueing stay at home moms tickets after picking up their kids from preschool??? Bummer... Ron told me not to let it bother me.... But you know how I am....
I did have a great time last night at The Melting Pot. I am a discussion group leader for a table of 8, and 5 of us made it out last night. A great group of moms.... We all have so much in common, including same age kids...
Our community garage sale is tomorrow am, and Lincoln has a game at 11:30...

CHI

For those of you that were wondering, yes I did get a CHI for my birthday. And I'm about to use it, I have a Moms night out at The Melting Pot tonight, Yummmmmm

Pizza

We are going to be staying home until Lawson kicks this pnemonia thing, so you will be in store for a bunch of posts. You see, my computer is in my kitchen, and I pass it probably a thousand times a day, so when I have something on my mind I just stop by right quick...

So this pizza thing, it looks like I'm not the only one that thought it was a healthy food.... Bread, tomatoe (vegetable) sauce, cheese, fresh veggies, whats wrong with that.... Well, they are telling our kids these days that it is a junk food. Lincoln is really into that right now, is this a healthy food or a junk food....

Scary

Dear Next Door Neighbors,

Next year for Halloween, please consider not putting up this BIG SCARY thing in your yard facing us. The boys are terrified. They do this thing where they walk up as close as they are brave enough to, then they run full speed back into our yard.
Thank You,
Your Scaredy Cat Neighbors

Happy Halloween

From our niece, Bristol...
