Happy Holloween

Hope everyone had a great Holloween. Our's turned out great. It was a bit chilly, but that's nice for us. Went trick or treating with our neighbor and her little boy. Took all 3 boys, and the puppy to all the houses on our street. Then we came home and passed out candy, which was just as fun for us!! Now they are all crashed out, and I'm on my way!!

Tuxedo's

I know it's dumb to take a picture of a picture, but I did it!! I wanted to show you all the pics, I thought they turned out nice, they had tons to choose from but I told myself to
only pic out one of each individually and one together. So, here they are....

Hay Ride

Emily, Darla, Cynthia, Lawson on hayride.
Lincoln and Ron

Here are a few pics from the Holloween party last night, on the hayride....

Lincoln will be Elmo for Holloween, but wore his last yr froggy costume to this party b/c they had jump houses, etc... and it was more practical for that...

Lincoln wore his Elmo to the Kroger party today, and it was a big hit with ALL the kiddo's. They were ALL coming up to him, and he felt the need to walk around and wave at everyone.
When he wore his Elmo costume to a bday party last week, after he took it off, it got passed around for all the other kids to take turn being Elmo. Thanks Grammy!!

I have sold 25 items on ebay in 2 1/2 weeks, profit of 175.00.
I deserve to get myself a present!!

A Game

OK, Let's play another game:
Which one is Lincoln and which one is Lawson?
Record your guess under "comments"

The Boy's Pictures, Finally

Geri's Sunday

Tried to get a pic of both boys together after church today since they looked so grown up. Seems like Lawson is officially transitioning from baby to toddler. And Lincoln is transitioning from toddler to big boy!! However, could only get good shots individually.
What a great Sunday!! Church was great!! The weather is Perfect!! Went to a Holloween Party, all is good!!
Ron has the good picture's of the Holloween Party, so once I get those downloaded I'll post. We enjoyed the hayride, bounce house, kid's games, and seeing all the cute kiddo's in their costumes!! This was a neighborhood wide party for Bridlewood, where Darla lives. It was at their very nice pool/golf club.
Blogger is taking forever to upload, I've been trying to post throughout the day and it won't let me... So, I'll post the pics tomorrow.

Blue's

I think I'm going to be in trouble....
How am I ever going to say "no" to these eye's????
All he has to do is look at us and we melt!!

Town Square

We decided to go shopping to pick up one quick thing, however, we ended up spending our whole day at South Lake's Town Square.
We started off having lunch at Cheesecake Factory. Then our shopping began.
We purchased some things at Williams Sonoma for our kitchen, including a very nice non stick pan.
Then we headed over to Barnes and Nobles where Ron, myself, and Lincoln all picked out books to bring home.
Bought Lincoln an outfit from Janie and Jack.
Stopped and got cookies at the Nestle Tollhouse Factory, ate them in the courtyard at the fountain.
Ron got some new shoes to wear to work, and some pants...
What a day!!
Unfortunately, the boys went down at 3:30 for nap and didn't wake up until 6:30. Therefore we MISSED our fall festival that we had planned. Oh well, we had a nice evening at home: Ron made us dinner. And we will go to a Holloween Party tomorrow night at a friends....

T G I Friday

What a week! It just seems like things are getting busier and busier with the upcoming holidays. With two little ones, time just flies by.
Overall, this week went great and are looking forward to a great weekend.
We went to the twin's house today to celebrate their birthday. Can't wait to meet their new baby sister in December.
Lawson is crashed, and Ron, Lincoln, and Kirby are sitting out back under a blanket. Sooooo, I'm going to finish up so I can enjoy my nice hot bubble bath and then dig into the Holloween candy!!
Happy Friday!!

Thursday

The place that Lincoln takes his gymnastics classes has moved to a much nicer and bigger location. This new place is totally awesome!! They have everything there: swim classes, ballet/dance, karate, music conservatory, all sports, etc.... They also, my favorite, have a coffee bar for the parents! They have a small movie theatre with 6 bean bags for the kids who are waiting on siblings... And they have "win cuts", a hair salon for kids and parents. Anyway, I was very impressed. I'm thinking that tuition will rise to make the mortage on that massive place!
Lincoln is doing great in gymnastics and it is always one of the highlights of the week.

Tomorrow we will go to a small birthday party at the twins house.

Can you believe Halloween is right around the corner?? We are going to have so much fun this year. We will be attending several different fall festivals and holloween activities in the upcoming few days. Of course, pics will be taken and posted.

Wednesday, October 25

Luke 1:13

Lincoln learned his first scripture memorization. They have been practicing every week at our Wednesday Bible Study. So, all week he has been repeating:
"Do not be afraid...your prayer has been heard" Luke 1:13
I'm shocked that he can already do this at his age, I'm so proud of him!! He loves Bible School, and is always talking about the bible stories he learned. His favorite is telling the story about Zacheous.

Blog Change

For now on, when you open the blog it will only show the past 21 days. If you want to view anything prior to that, go to the left and click on the months in the Archives.

The Good Ole Car

Pictures taken this morning. Lawson's big thing right now is riding on this car. He get's on it all by himelf and just sits on it, holds on, rocks, and moves it by walking his feet. In the 2nd pic you will notice that he brought his play keys with him on the car. I guess he made the connection!!
Also, in the 1st pic you will notice him wearing his first pair of REAL shoes. I got him these "prewalkers" from StrideRite and plan on selling them on ebay when he grows out of them! Striderite is a big seller on ebay!!
Anyway, when I see babies start wearing shoes that is when I see a big change in them from going from baby to toddler.....

Feedback

I'm trying to decide which pic to order of Lawson. I think I like the 2nd one the best, any feedback??? I wish they would have turned out better!

Our Cowboy

When Lawson was in the baby bonanza, there was a professional photographer there and each contestant got a free 5x7 and a chance to buy more. Anyway, IF you are interested, you can view his shots by following these instructions: The pics didn't turn out great, because you can see he was very ansy and all over the place, not many smiles like usual....
go to www.scottyoungphoto.com
click on Session Proofing
Session ID: winkids_pics
He is the 1st baby on there. The baby right after him is the one that beat out Lawson by getting 1st place in most adorable baby. (he was super cute, but we think he beat Lawson because he went all out on his duds....)

Got a pumpkin

Daddy got home early enough tonight that we were able to go to the pumpkin patch to get us a good pumpkin. Can you B.E.L.I.E.V.E. that a decent sized pumpkins these costs $25.00!!!
Incredible!! But I think this patch donates a portion to a charity. We brought Kirby with us and Lincoln enjoyed taking a wagon ride with him.

Hi Bristol!!

My niece, Bristol. Isn't she a cutie? And getting so big!! Your cousins miss you!

Monday, October 23

My Friend, Ebay

I have a new friend, Ebay!! I have made $100.00 so far by selling a few random things I had laying around: books, baby clothes, coupons, etc... This has been so fun for me. I have 30 items up for auction this week, goal is another $100.00, we'll see!
I have also bought the boys some great clothes for great deals by keeping an eye on the auction. If you have anything you want me to sell for you, I'll do all the work and split the profit with you!!

Our Winner

OK, here are his cowboy boots, cowboy hat, TROPHY, and medal, but where oh where is our little cowboy?? Oh yeah, he has been crashed out since 6pm!!

Yes, that's right, Lawson won a Baby Trophy today at the Baby Bonanza. He won the award for "Best Smile", which is so appropriate for Lawson who was up there with a smile from ear to ear for the judges!! I'll post some pictures of Lawson in his cowboy get-up manana. But for now, just wanted to let you know we are proud of him for winning!!

STATE FAIR 2006

The Fam

Smile Lawson!!

Thanks Jen

Thanks Jen for all your special comments!! We also say how nice you are to give us feedback!! Sometimes we think you are the only one reading this blog!! J/K: Mom Smith, Sue, and Reaah all give great comments too. Thanks, it gives me motivation to keep on blogging!!

Went to the State Fair today. It was AWESOME. The boys did great, we had fun, the weather was P.E.R.F.E.C.T. Can't wait to go again next year. Pictures will be posted this weekend, they are in Ron's camera right now, don't know how to retrieve those or else I'd be posting them right now.

Everything is great today, and once again I am up working on ebay, blog, email, bill pay, etc... while ALL the boys are sound asleep.

Tomorrow, Lawson is a contestant in the Baby Bonanza, Most Adorable Baby contest, he has to dress up in western wear: Too cute, will post pics...

Good Night!!

State Fair

STATE FAIR OF TEXAS, HERE WE COME. We will pick Ron up at noon from work, and head on down to the state fair. We are so excited. We have always wanted to go to this, but didn't want to make the drive to Dallas. BUT, now we live here... Will post pics.... High of 72 today, should be ok.

Explanation

Ok, I have been asked to expand on my interesting day today, so here is just a few things that come to mind:
1. Kirby pooping inside.
2. Lincoln having not one, but two potty accidents (he NEVER has accidents!)
3. Me having to go to the DR and get a HUGE shot in my you know where.
4. Took Lawson to top of the maze at McDonalds. Didn't have anything with me to wipe up his vomit, so had to take sweater off and wipe it up. Meanwhile I was at the very top looking out the "bubble" and I see Lincoln walking out of the RR holding his pants in one hand and his underpants in the other. He decided to go to the potty by himself.
5. Lincoln was in a "naughty" mood all day, I don't know what got into him. He just wasn't himself: (maybe adjustment to dog??, taking more of my attention away??). He was put into his room or in a time out one after another....
6. Anyway, it was just one of those days...

BUT I still am thankful for this day, and now all the boys in the house including the puppy are crashed and I am very relaxed, ready for bed, and hope to start a new GREAT day tomorrow!!

Dog Bath

Lincoln got into the Oxy Carpet Cleaner and decided to spray the whole bottle onto our new puppy. The poor pup was totally saturated. Had to give him a bath, even though we were on our way out the door. The funny thing is now he smells MUCH better!!

Good Job Mom

Mom set up her scanner all by herself, and read the manual in order to figure out how to scan that picture of me and email it. Way to go mom!! I am VERY impressed!!

What a day!!

What a day, what a day. This is one I'm glad is coming to an end. When it rains, it pours around here!! I did manage to snap this cute picture today when my package came in the mail with matching Gap sweaters for the boys... They looked adorable in them...

Related??

Mom scanned this picture of ME (right) and emailed it to me. She thinks Lawson and me look a lot alike in these 2 pictures. What does everyone else think???

Gina's cutie pies

These cuties are my best friend, Gina's, kiddo's. Emma and Christopher.
We miss you guys, and hope to see you real soon.

Gina lives in Boerne right next to where I used to work at the chidren's home. When she had both of her babies, I used to call her during my lunch break and ask if I could come over and hold the baby. So, I would drive over there during my break and just sit and hold the sweet babies, I did this mostly with Christopher. I just love holding babies!! I remember thinking that I hoped to have one of my own someday to hold... Now I have 2!! Gina drove from SA to Katy once Lawson was born, and she got to sit around and hold my baby while she left hers home with her hubby.... Hope you can come visit us in Dallas the next time you come to see your brother. (Gina's brother and sister in law live here in Los Colinas, just about 10 miles from me: they are both pediatricians...)
MISS YOU GUYS!!

Kirby Fun

We didn't end up going to San Antonio, because Lawson is still sick. It is probably better that way anyway, because it has been storming all day and we would of been driving in the rain.
AND, we got to spend the whole rainy and sick day getting to know Kirby!!
We take him to the vet today at 5 to get him a check up.
I told Kirby that if he wanted to be a part of our family, he had to get used to me taking pictures!!
This morning, Kirby waited outside of Lincoln's door until he got up. 1st thing Lincoln said was GOOD MORNING KIRBY!!! And Lincoln was instantly in a good mood (usually wakes up grumpy), and didn't even ask to watch his usual morning cartoons.
Took Kirby to the Vet today, and he is good and healthy.

3. Is there anything else you can do with a pumpkin?

5. What color is a pumpkin?
ORANGE MOM!! I know that one...

6. What shape is a pumpkin
It's a triangle!!

Our New Addition

Welcome Kirby to our evergrowing family!! We finally found the puppy that we have been looking for. He is a Cavelier King Charles Spaniel. He is is 5 months old, and he is a miniature, therefore they said he was already full size. The boys LOVE him, we are glad that we made this decision. He is still getting used to us and our home, so he has been shy and we haven't heard him bark. He is pretty laid back, seems like a great dog!! Of course, I'll post more and better pics, but here is a preview..... I'll explain later also why we named him Kirby...

Saturday, October 14

Formal Boys

We went to a MOPS fundraiser today where we got to dress the boys in tuxedo's and get a professional picture done. We won't get the pics back until 10/30, but I think they are going to look really cute. Here is a sample of some shots Ron took as they were preparing for the photo shoot..... They looked so cute. For the fundraiser, we get a 10 x 13 for 10.00 which is normally a 69.00 value. Of course, they will try to sell us more....

Friday, October 13

Pumpkin Patch, 2nd time

Went back to the pumpkin patch today. We will be frequenting this place this month. It's close, free, fun, beautiful, and it wears the kiddo's out. Mommy has fun, too. Today I organized a playdate for the moms and their children who are in my MOPS group. Had tons of fun, and the weather was beautiful!!

Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch

One of the things that Flower Mound is known for is the great pumpkin patch that they have every October. Since we have moved here, many times I have told people that we live in Flower Mound, and their response was "oh yeah, thats where the pumpkin patch is...".
Today, we ventured out to this famous pumpkin patch. We couldn't stay because it was just a bit too cold.
These are few of the pics I took today, but we will be back several times this month. So be prepared for lots of pumkin pictures. I have always loved taking Lincoln to the pumpkin patch....and Lawson had a lot of fun climbing all over the big pumpkins.

The Law

A favorite expression of Lawsons

Finally, Success

After our 3rd attempt in the past couple of weeks, we finally made some delicious cinnamon rolls. Lincoln was a great help.
He helped me with all of the steps, he enjoyed helping (playing) with the dough.

Lincoln gives his official approval!!

Rain

You know you live in Dallas when it rains and everyone runs OUT side.

Yes, it rained hard all morning. We had to cancel our plans to the pumpkin patch. If the weather cooperates, we will go on Friday. I planned a playdate with my small group from MOPS. We all have kids about the same age, and almost all of them our boys...

So, instead of going to the pumpkin patch, we decided to try attempt #3 at our homemade cinnamon rolls.... I'm keeping my fingers crossed, they are cut and rising as we speak... I'll let you know (mom, I tried a similar but different recipe)....

I sold my first e-bay item. So, I have to get that sent out tomorrow. Now I can learn this process of payment, and shipping. This item will be shipped to the Netherland's. Wondering how much that is going to cost???

Playhouse

Lawson and Lincoln like to play together in the play house. They crawl/run in and out of it and play peek a boo. Lawson usually just cracks up..... Here is a shot of Lawson playing in it. GRANDMA JOAN: This is the Osh Kosh shirt you gave Lawson while we were in NY. Thanks!! He looks like such a big boy when he wears it.......

Friends Party

This afternoon, we went to a friend's get together. Some of you remember Debbie Taylor (now Tucker), she lives about 5 miles from me, so since we moved here we get together often. Today, she rented out the clubhouse in her neighborhood for a get together. She had 3 babysitters plus one facepainter to watch the kids outside on the playground (it was beautiful weather). Her husband, Alex, has a hobby of home brewing his own beer, so he brought samples of all his beer recipes. It was such a nice get together, about 80 people she thought, lot's of good food. The boys had fun playing outside.
Ready for another busy week. Looking forward to MOPS in the morning. We will be going to the pumkin patch on Tuesday, so keep a look out for those picture's.
Hope everyone has a super great week. Let me know how you all are doing!!

Playtime!!

Last night, Lincoln's friend Emily was able to come over for the evening to play while her parents went to a dinner event. Do you remember how fun it used to be to have a freind over when you were younger? They had so much fun, it was amazing watching them play... We had Pizza, went out to Braum's for ice cream cones, went on a walk in the wagon (with all 3 in the wagon including Lawson), swung on the swings, played Play Doh, played with ALL of Lincoln's toys. Ran around the house playing chase.... They really tired themselves out!!
Here are a few of things that we did:
Wrestle with Daddy!!
Shared the rocking chair....

Watched The Little Mermaid

Played us a song with flutes...

COME BACK SOON EMILY!!!!
