Boys, boys, boys everywhere here... I am the mom of 3 boys plus hubby, so I'm pretty out numbered here, but love it!! no and I don't get tips either where I work!!
No and I hardly ever go there.
Do they wait on me? No...They simply prepare the menu item that I ordered and paid for. Tips are for people who go above that to serve you. The employees at Starbucks get paid minimum wage, not wait staff wage.
Generally I don't, but I have been known to drop the change if I pay cash (no dollars, though). I think it's ridiculous how many random places are putting out tip jars or adding a tip space to a credit slip. I agree with Sue...they are getting way more than the $2/hour we received when waiting on tables.
There coffees are expensive enough. The last time i tipped was at Dreck subs..of all places...the 2 employees said they had been so busy their heads were spinning. I figured they deserved a tip. There are always 5 employees working at starbucks .... i dont see anyone sweatin!
