Extreme Heat Advisory In Effect This Weekend
The National Weather Service has upgraded the Heat Advisory to an Excessive Heat Warning lasting until 7 p.m. Monday. This means the extreme heat will be high enough to make heat illness -- including heat exhaustion and heat stroke -- likely during prolonged outdoor exposure.
Heat Index values will be between 108-115 during the afternoons the next three days. Remember, the temperature is measured and the heat index is calculated in the shade. If you are directly in the sun, you can add another 10 degrees to what it actually feels like to your body -- so we're saying it could feel like a temp of 125 in the sun!
