Missing Toy Piece
Surprisingly enough, tonight was the 1st time we have had to deal with an object up the nose. Lawson had a small plastic toy part so far up it could barely be seen, and he panicked when I got out the tweezers. Fortunately it came out before we had to make a trip to the ER. From what I've heard, if they get it up far enough they have to go to the hospital to get it removed.

My Little Ranger
Lawson finally had his 1st T-ball game last night, after the 1st 3 being rained out. It was great, he loved it and did excellent. I almost forgot how "entertaining" it was to watch 3 yr olds play T-ball. I think everyone had a good laugh. I didn't really get any still pictures, because I was videotaping the game for Ron to watch since he was out of town. I dug up a picture of Lincoln's 1st T-ball game, he was also on the Rangers and was the same age... Similarities???
1st Picture is Lawson
Here's Lincoln...

Lawson and I got to go up to Lincoln's school today, and have lunch together.
They both enjoyed that!
Where did he come up with this pose???

Getting Through It
I am 25% or 1/4 (10 out of 40 weeks) of the way through with this pregnancy. That is motivating!!
Yes, I am feeling completely and utterly miserable. That little baby is causing me trouble already!!! I have been feeling fluttering the past couple of days. Lot's of fluttering! Isn't 10 weeks too early to feel the baby? I guess this baby want me to know that they are there!!!
Joyful for this wonderful miracle I have been blessed with.

There Was a Crooked Man
A project the kindergartens do is Nursery Rhyme Day. They get to pick a nursery rhyme: They have to memorize the verses at home, dress up as the character then get up in front of the class to recite. He is doing this today, and I am wondering how it went. I have to say, when I was in Kinder I would have NEVER gotten up in front of the whole class and did this! I think it's a good thing that they start "public speaking" so early.
Ron made him the cane, and Lincoln and I went and picked out the gray wig and glasses.
There was a crooked man, who walked a crooked mile.
He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile.
He bought a crooked cat that caught a crooked mouse.
And they all lived together in a little crooked house.

My little Stinker
I ordered Lincoln a skunk costume for Halloween, since he has been so "obsessed" with skunks this past year.
Don't tell him, it's a surprise!

Seasons of Changes
At this season of my life, a lot is happening and a lot of things are changing. I am a creature of habit, and don't always feel comfortable with change, so I'm just trying to take everything one step at a time.
Of course the biggest event occurring in our lives is the anticipation of our new baby. I have to say, I am still in shock and reality has not hit home as of yet. As with the other 2 pregnancies, I am not feeling well. Lot's of nausea, loss of energy, and restless sleep. Don't get me wrong, I AM NOT complaining!!! I realize by now that this is a small price to pay for the blessing at the end. Hopefully it won't be too many more weeks of feeling bad, and looking back I'm pretty sure that I'm not nearly as sick as I was with the boys. I'm definitely eating a lot more this time. (I am 9.5 weeks along). I've heard that you start showing sooner with each pregnancy, and I have to say this is my 3rd pregnancy and I popped right out!

I've started a new bible study, today was our 2nd meeting. Ends up 4 of the other women at my small table are previous friends so that's a big bonus for me. When I signed up for this study I did it "alone" and didn't realize so many other women I know were joining as well. This bible study is held at our church, and is Priscilla Shirer's, Discerning the Voice of God. I've taken a study by her before and she is amazing. We have about 75 (???) women in this bible study, so it is huge and powerful, I'm enjoying it. Ron has tried out the Wednesday morning men's bible study led by the pastor and assistant pastor, and I think he will go when he is in town and is able, it's at 6:30 in the morning so that's perfect since he is an early bird.
Ron and I started a new couple's small group, it meets on Sunday nights (only twice a month). The kids go to their own "meeting" at the church and we drive out to Copper Canyon where our group meets. This is going to be a good thing for Ron and I to do together!
Started MOPS for the year. This will be my 6th year in MOPS, and my 1st year in 5 years to not be a discussion group leader. I'm going to enjoy the semester being "just a member", and hopefully by next year be able to step to leadership again.
Lincoln continues piano with a new teacher. He is progressing well. He is reading music now. Doesn't care much for practicing but looks forward to the lessons. We aren't going to let him "quit" like he wants to right now.
Lawson is enjoying his T-ball team, unfortunately the 1st 2 games have rained out so he hasn't gotten to have the "real" experience yet. Hoping to have a game on Saturday.
Apparently Lincoln is excelling in Kindergarten. His teacher defined him as being a "Model Student". We'll see when report cards come out next week. He loves it, and his only complaint is that it is too long (which it is...). He already has a "girlfriend". And pretty much she is the only one I've heard about. I went up to eat lunch with him this week, kind of gave me a birds eye view of his interactions. Maybe it's because I was there with him, but all the girls were trying to talk to him and give him attention. It was pretty funny. I'm going to do some volunteering in his classroom, but am waiting for a background check to go through.
Lawson loves his preschool class. Today they get to make their own pizzas, so he was excited about that. He goes to music on Tuesday's and motor skills on Thursday's. He has a friend that we sometimes bring home with us, they have some playtime and his mom can pick him up here. He loves having a friend over, especially since Lincoln isn't here and also he has always seen Lincoln have friends come over to play and now it's his turn to have someone.
I have to formally recognize my husband. Helpful husband this week! He went shopping, wrote out a menu and agreed to do the dinner cooking for the entire week! That is a huge help for me, and I want to let him know I appreciate this little pregnancy break.

Interview with a 5 yr old
What do you like about Kindergarten?
Lincoln: I like reading the books there, and I like to make pictures there. Today I made a picture for my mommy. I like riding the bus home, because I get to look at all the houses. OK ask me another question.
Do you miss Lawson when you are gone?
Lincoln: Yes, I do and when I get home I always asked him what he did, and I look at all his work he did at his school. I love looking at his work from school, today it was a picture of a tree with ten apples on it.
Whats your favorite:
Book: Ice Age and Shark Book in 3D
TV show: Peep, but I don't get to watch it anymore b/c I'm at school. And Fairy Odd Parents.
Food: Macaroni and Cheese
Ice Cream: Vanilla
Animal: Skunk, dog and cat
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I think an astronaut or a builder. If I'm a builder I'll have to watch Bob the Builder and Handy Manny, but I don't like those shows.
How many kids do you want when you grow up? 3 or 4 or 5
If you could change one thing about your life what would it be?
That mommy would start warming up my chocolate milk again.

Just 8 short Years ago
Remembering all that went on just 8 short years ago.
September 11, 2001: I don't have an interesting story like some. I was just dating Ron, and was living in an apartment with my sister. I was sleeping in that morning, and got a call from Ron to tell me to turn on the TV. I of course had no idea what he was talking about and turned on the TV, didn't exactly know what I was looking at so I proceeded to get ready for work. All the bits and pieces were coming together as Ron was calling me, I was driving to work, listening to the radio. I drove to the RMYA appreciation lunch that was being held at the Bridge: Do you RMYA friends remember this? I remember standing around talking to my coworkers as we were all processing what was going on, and questioning if we should be at the luncheon or if our lives were still in danger.
I am thankful for all the men/women who are fighting for our protection. I pray that we don't experience anything like this again, now that I have children it takes on a whole new meaning.
What were you doing when you heard the dreadful 9/11 news?

Blue Tooth
Yesterday, Lincoln had to have his front top tooth extracted. Ouch!! They gave him laughing gas and plenty of novocaine. In his words, "it went perfect, I just relaxed". He had to have it removed because it was hurting him, and was basically dying/dead with an infection starting in the roots... So, I took him out of school, and we headed to the dreaded (for me) appointment. Thank Goodness for the massage chair they have in the waiting room. I'm guessing that's why they have it there, for the worried parents waiting. He was in a little bit of pain afterwards when the numbness was wearing off, and he bled a lot for a couple of hours.
Normally, I wouldn't post a picture of a lost tooth, but he insists on it! He talked me into taking pictures and wanted to post it on the blog because his Aunt Jen asked him to! And of course, he painted his tooth blue because the Art teacher told him he would get more money from the tooth fairy. She was right, He did.

Random Info
For those bloggers out there that don't read Facebook, I'll give you a quick update!
Next week, Lincoln has to have one of his front teeth pulled. Ouch! It's basically dead and is abcessing and infecting. So, he will get some laughing gas and have it yanked. He's actually excited about it. Crazy.
I had a sono today. Got some pictures of the little "lima" bean. Heard the heartbeat. All looks great, the baby has connected properly, etc... Got 2 different nausea medicines to try. Due date is still April 22, 2010.
Wondering why I laugh and crack up so much some times when I am supposed to be disciplining or "giving a talking to" the boys. I hate that! And now that I am so hormonal/emotional, sometimes I just start cracking up at the boys. Wierd.
Lincoln started piano lessons with a new teacher, she is keeping him on his toes. He is learning to identify the notes on the staff. All cows eat grass. All dogs fight big animals. I'm learning along with him.
Lawson has had 2 T-ball practices and his 1st game is coming up soon. That boy is GOOD. It's so fun to watch him b/c not only does he have that strength and natural athletic ability, but he takes the whole thing so seriously and he definitely has a huge competitive edge.

Lawson starts Preschool
My pictures still aren't looking clear when I blog them (???), but oh well you can get the picture. Today was Lawson's 1st day of preschool. He is going to a church based preschool at a school that has been around for over 25 years and has a great reputation in the area. He will be going on Tuesday's and Thursday from 9-1. So, it's not too long and not too short. That gives Mommy 10 hrs a week of childfree time to catch up on Mommy things, then of course when the baby comes in April there will be no more childfree time! I'm ok with that, I'm one of those mommy's that doesn't necessarily want or need too much me time.
I spent my time today walking the mall (putting a little damage on the card), then lunch with Ron. 5 hrs goes by really fast!
Lawson's teacher had a great report on Lawson. She was shocked that this was his 1st year in preschool b/c she said that he raised his hand, asked before he did anything, asked questions, etc...
Lawson reports that he liked it, and didn't understand why he can't go back tomorrow and has to wait until Thursday. He said he made one good friend today, and that friend also kicked him in the head, but he is still his friend!
