FFF
This afternoon, we look forward to the twins (Maddie and Ryan) and baby sister Tori coming over for a couple of hours while Cara and Mike enjoy a dinner out, alone.... Looking forward to it Cara!! (Cara has been my friend for the past almost TWENTY YEARS!!). We went to college (sorority) together, then after college we were roommates, and now life long friends.... She has twins the same age as Lincoln so it's been a blessing to live close together again so our kiddo's can grow up together....
Anyway, the (other) boys are about to be here... We are ready for them...
We love company over here..... Please come....

Lincoln's Playdate

The traditional horse ride...Everyone rides the horses when they come over....

Dressed in PJ's, watching the 3 minutes of the movie....
AWANA
The 4 and 5 year olds are called "Cubbies". It's such a cute program, it reminds me of Scouts. They wear a "cubbies" vest to the meetings which are every Wednesday night. Like Scouts, they earn badges for the vest by doing different things... Lincoln love it, of course.... So, on Wednesdays he gets a double dose of bible studies... CBS in the mornings and AWANA in the evenings. We drop him off from 6:30-8pm, so Ron and I always focus on some special one on one with Little Lawson.... Lawson can't wait to start going to some of the things Lincoln does...

We have had a busy, busy week so far. And it's not about to slow down anytime sooooon. Lincoln, Ron, and I saw the lunar eclipse last night.
This afternoon Taylor will come over to visit. Lincoln is beside himself. We are going to order a pineapple pizza because that is what she likes.... movies, popcorn, it's going to be fun...

Before I was a Mom
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on. Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put him down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom - I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom - I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.
Valentine's Down
Woke up, I hid a present for each of them to search for. Got the presents out of thier Christmas stash. Lawson got a LeapFrog Guitar and Lincoln got a Pirate Potatoe head. Then we started making the cheesecake for Ron. We all pitched in and it turned out delicious (and huge...). The boys spent the morning making Valentine's Day cards for Daddy (with bugs). Lincoln finished his Valentine's for school. After lunch, Lincoln had preschool and Lawson and I ran some errands. When Daddy got home we had a nice dinner and cheesecake. Daddy got a new comforter for his bed from Mommy, some peeps and jelly belly's, some losing lottery tickets. And that's for the excitement around here.... Ron and I have a babysitter for another night, and we will have our date.

Eyes and Ears
He passed his hearing test with flying colors. (When I was younger I NEVER passed this test. I had bad hearing and always had to go in to see hearing specialists...) I was glad his hearing was excellent.
One eye was significantly weaker than the other. He is fine for now, but when he starts kindergarden, they said he will probably have trouble reading the board, and will probably have to wear glasses at that time. Ron remembers having to wear glasses at a real young age. Lincoln will look great in glasses if that's what he needs at that time....

Best Friends Wedding
WELL, little did I know what an event it was going to be.... You see, it is tradition for this class along with the morning class to do a Best Friends Wedding for Valentines Day. Super Super Cute, but I feel as if I am planning a real life wedding.......
First, I had to find a place to hold the wedding. There will be at least 60 people attending: 20 kids plus parents, grandparents, and siblings. So I found a subdivision clubhouse to have it at.
All the kids will wear bowties and veils (provided by the teacher)....
The girls get to dress up in formals, or princess dresses....
The teachers' grandson will be dressed up as the minister and read the "friendship vows" which will include cute things about being friends like "do you agree to always share your toys"... etc... Then the kiddo's will exchange friendship bracelets with each other and sing us some songs like "make new friends but keep the old" and do the chicken dance, and do "slow dances" with parents, each other....
Luckily I had some talent on my committee. One mom makes professional wedding cakes for a living... So she is making a REAL 4 tier wedding cake with fresh flowers and everything... I happened to have a professional photographer on my committee.... so she will take photo's of everyone and put them on shutterfly so everyone can order what they want. She will also take an ind shot to put in an engraved frame another mom is making for everyone.....One mom is in charge of making bouquets and boutineer's for all the kiddo's. Another will decorate the place, and others will bring drinks and paper products....
It's going to be tons of fun, and the kiddo's are going to look so adorable, but boy I'm finding out how much planning something like this takes.
But those that know me, know that I (secretly) like to event plan.... Oh yeah, I made the invitations. I was happy at the way they turned out. I bought real make your own wedding invitations and printed them at home. Maybe I can scan one...
The wedding is next week, so I'll post some pics of course....
