Hallo-Fun

Another Halloween has come and gone
Boy, did the kiddo's have fun!!!

Here is the dressed up Jack-o-lantern, designed by
Lincoln and Lawson!

The boy's all ready to go trick or treating!!!

Our very scary puppy!!!! Baby's 1st Halloween, he got a kick out of seeing everyone dressed up. Take a look at Lawson's mask, he couldn't stop staring at Lawson.... wondering why he looked like that!

Puppy costume compliments of Auntie Sue-Sue
(or as Lincoln now refers to her... Aunt Susan)
Thanks Sue Sue, it was perfect and lot's of compliments!

Well, Hello Tooth!

Lennox's 1st tooth appeared tonight! He must be one tough kid because we didn't even know he was teething! The only thing he did differently today was he "chewed" on his bottle (now I know why!) and his naps today were super short... Other than that, he was a super happy baby with no drooling. What's my secret? Power of Prayer (I'm 100% certain it's a God thing)

"Darf" Vador and The Mummy

Does someone smell a skunk?

The baby and I were lucky enough to be able to go to Lawson's Fall party at school today. Lawson's "regular" costume is Darth Vador which was specifically listed as something they couldn't wear to school b/c it would be too scary... So he got to choose from a few of Lincoln's old costumes, and decided to be a skunk.
I love going to Halloween parties for kids that age and see them all dressed up! So cute!

This is Lawson and his "crush" friend from class!

The whole pre-K class!!!

6 months

Six Months Stats:
Lennox
Weight 16lbs 13oz (50%)
Height: 27.5 inches (75-90%)
Head is in 50%

He is perfectly healthy!!!
He had to have SIX vaccinations :( and is suffering from it today
Fortunately, they were combined and he took them with 3 pokes and 1 orally. No shots at his 9 month visit, so that will be nice!!!

He is also starting to eat some "real" foods now that he knows how to chew (gum) and swallow. He is eating some pasta, and super small bites of some of things we are serving. Other than that, he is eating my home made baby food and so isn't a picky eater, he will eat anything!

B is for Bristol

I CANT BELIEVE HOW GROWN UP MY NIECE IS GETTING.
This is Bristol, my brother's (and Courtney's) daughter!!!
She is the same age as Lawson: they will both be going into Kinder next year.
She's so pretty!

Joy's of Motherhood

Decided to tackle taking the 3 boys out to dinner by myself, which I have done plenty of times without a problem. Tonight, for some reason, my evening wasn't flowing so well. While we were sitting at the dinner table at the restaurant, Lawson had one of those rubbery hand grabbers (only those with boys know what I am talking about), well, he caught the baby's baby food (peaches) with his rubber hand causing it to drop on the floor and splattering up ALL over me, and at the same EXACT moment I was putting a spoonful of nasty green pea's in the baby's mouth... He decided to sneeze causing the nasty green pea's to spew out ALL over my face and hair. I won't even go into the rest of the evening because to be honest I'd rather just not waste any more time to get into my cozy bed....
Let's just say... Oh, what a night!

Just Playing

I love how Lawson never never never gets tired of playing with/entertaining the baby. This sure helps me!!! I can even take a shower while Lawson "takes care" of him. And it's so cute to watch! #2 and #3 get to spend lot's of time together while #1 is at school. Reminds me of myself and my sisters growing up.

Tummy Time

I wanted to post some pictures of my sisters visit, but then realized that the only one I took turned out horrible... How did we manage not to take any other pictures??? I think we just stayed too busy to think about pulling out the camera... weird for me, huh? So instead I found this cute picture to post... Tummy time at 6 months... love love love this age!!

Auntie Sue Sue Visits FM5

My sister (Sue) came into town for the weekend. I think we have kept her pretty busy. We started the day off with an 8am soccer game! Lawson did well (9 goals), but the other team beat them... Then the boys and I took her to some garage sales, a local horse ranch, a small airport where we like to eat lunch and watch the planes take off and land, toy store shopping-Elmo was visiting!- lasagna dinner. She will be taking off in the morning, it was great seeing her even if it was for a short visit!
Lincoln decided he was "too old" to be calling her Auntie Sue Sue any more. He said now it's Aunt Susan. (he has refused to call me Mommy since he was 2! It's "too baby-ish" so I'm Mom). It's just funny to hear him..... Excuse me, Aunt Susan....

6 month pose

Amongst all the other craziness in our lives this week (pumpkin patch, teacher conferences, soccer practice and game, bible study, dr checkup, dentist appointment, playdate x2, bible study, cubbies/Sparks, swim practice, preschool, homework, school projects, chores, housework, cooking, baking, crafts (yes I'm looking at my calendar!) ), I had to make it a point to get boy #3 in for his 6 month old photo. By the 3rd time, I have realized to settle for the package which is just one pose verses feeling the need to have one picture of every single pose and then having buyers regret when I get home with an empty wallet!!! So, this is the pose... so I have lot's and lot's of them if you would like one!!!

Just can't get it right!

So I have yet to master the home made pizza thing. Tonight the boys and I attempted to make home made dough, yet once again. It turned out (once again) too crispy on the outer rims and too dough-y in the center. I just can't get it right, but I try and try again with no luck.

Then..... I had a thought. I need a Pizza Stone!!! That's my solution!!! So then come's another great thought.... here is a great idea for the person who drew my name for Secret Santa (for our family get together)! Hint Hint Hint (if this person happen's to be one of my blog readers....)

Getting ahead for Christmas, Attempt

The boys and I are knee deep in making Christmas crafts over here.
If you are a lucky Grandparent, Godparent, or Aunt/Uncle....
You just may be receiving one of these lovely creations as a gift.... lucky you!

Handwriting

Wondering if it's possible for an adult to reinvent their handwriting. I've always wished I had pretty penmanship instead of my chicken scratch that even I can't read. So, the challenge is on... As my 1st grader is learning how to write beautifully, I will "re-learn" along with him. His school uses the "D'Nealian" format of writing which is totally different from the way I was taught. Very fancy! All the letters have little tails on them, and most are slightly slanted. It makes for an easy transition from printing to cursive....

Mommy's Boy

Brag Alert!!!
We are very proud parents after an exceptional parent/teacher conference with Lincoln's 1st grade teacher, and he brought home an awesome report card... He made the A honor roll (he actually gets number grades this year!)
He is reading at level 6, and left Kinder reading level 4. (she said most students stay the same or go down after summer break). I'm glad all that summer reading has paid off!
Perfect Attendance thus far. He made a 100% on his 1st spelling test last week, and 2 of the words (which I thought were hard for the 1st test!) that he got right were: October and Pumpkins.
I also like that so far, we have NEVER had a problem with getting him up in the am's. At 7am, I go in and wake him up once... he gets dressed and ready and comes right out. He's such a GOOD boy!!!

Lincoln loves his teacher, and he's the type of student that is always picking roses/flowers from home to bring her, along with big bright shiny red apples! He is always offering to help her in class, and she said that when she is "teaching" from the chair and the students sit on the floor, that he sits RIGHT in front of her dead front and center and is practically touching her feet! She also refers to him as her "buddy"!

Annual Visit to the Pumpkin Patch

Lincoln had a holiday from school today, so we are having our fair share of Fall Fun! Started our day off at the pumpkin patch, currently making caramel corn, then we will start doing some fall crafts.

Standing

Lennox loves to stand up, even though just for a few seconds before he tumbles down. Those legs have really gotten strong after not being used for several months when he was in the brace. He still hasn't figured out rolling over, and can sit up on his own but just for 5-6 seconds before he face plants!

My Punkins!!!

Getting ready for all the Halloween Fun!!!

Bud's

Lincoln has his buddy, Brendan, from school over to play today.
Silly boys, what they end up "playing" is hilarious!

Excuse Me, Did someone Say SIX Months???

"baby" Lennox is 6 months old today! Happy half b-day sweetie.... Where did the time go? I can honestly say that this past 6 months has been the best 6 months of my life! A day hasn't passed that I haven't thought about how HAPPY I am that I made the decision to go for baby #3... He has been such a JOY and blessing to our whole family!

Here's a clip I came across from Lawson's 1st game...
