Hip Dysplasia

During Lennox's newborn check up, the doctor discovered a "hip click" in his right hip. I had to take him to Plano yesterday to get a sonogram on his hip. They discovered that he has Hip Dysplasia. Basically, his hip joint is not in socket. It's not all the way dislocated, but almost. Most likely this happened while in the womb because his leg was not in a good position (hence the funny way I was carrying him). I have to take him to see an orthopedic, and he will be fitted for a brace/harness, which basically will hold his legs into place to get the joint to go back in socket. He will probably have to wear it for 4-6 weeks, but we will see what the orthopedic says at the appointment.

Well said, Love it!!!

Easter Bday

On Lennoxs' 2nd birthday it will be Easter Sunday! After that, his birthday won't fall on Easter until 2091!!!

2 weeks old today!!

I need all of our prayer warriors out there to pray that little Lennox can put on some weight... Had his 2 week check up today. He's perfect, but his weight is still only 7lbs 1 oz. He should be back up to his birth weight by now, 7lbs 9oz.
Dr recommended supplementing with some formula, I'm going to try to give him 1 oz after each nursing and see how that goes.
She also discovered that he has a "hip click" in one of his hips, and referred him to get a sonogram on his hip to check for hip displasia. If he has it, it can be treated with some kind of brace for 2 weeks...
Other than that, he's perfect!

Silly Sister

Here is my silly sister in law (Ron's sis) with her Hubby. They are expecting baby #1 in July. They are such cute expectant parents. Can't wait for our little ones to grow up on the beach together! They live where we go vacation for a couple of weeks out of the year. Fun Fun Fun times.

Baby update

Baby Lennox had his first outing yesterday to the doc's. He has an e-Colin infection in his eye, not uncommon. Drops for a week. His weight went from 7 9oz to 6 15oz. So the race is on to get him to gain half an oz a day to bring him up. Everything else looked great. Ron and i were surprised that while there we had to get tetanus shots and whooping cough vaccines for ourselves!
Baby is a bundle of joy... He is a sleepy head!!! The boys are proud big brothers! Neighbors and friends have gone above and beyond helping with boys, rides, bringing meals,etc.... I feel truly blessed,
Lawson thinks there is still another baby in my belly!!! Lincoln thinks my belly feels like a trampoline.... Lol

Asleep, Again

This is what Lennox does 23.5 hours of the day! He loves his sleep... He is 4 days old today, and in just a bit we will go on his 1st outing to his doctor's appointment. Grammy has left, and tonight Nanny (Ron's mom) will arrive for a week. Loving the extra help as I'm basically on bedrest trying to heal up.

Good Bye Grammy

Good Bye Grammy (my Mom). She is heading home as we speak after an exciting and busy few days of watching the boys! Thank You so Much!!!

A couple Hosp Pics

Just a couple of highlights from the hospital. These are all taken within the hour that Lennox was born.
My mom was able to get the boys up to the hospital about 30 minutes from his birth... it was perfect timing... they got to be in the labor and delivery room with us, and got to go watch them give him his 1st bath in the nursery.

Early Morning!!

Slept great from 10:30pm until 3am. At 3am, the baby and me were WIDE awake ready to get this day started. By 4am, Ron was up and ready to go with us. We don't need to leave for the hospital until 7: 15am, so we are trying to be creative in finding things to keep us occupied in these early morning hours!!
I'm feeling very calm this morning, unlike last night. I'm feeling very Blessed, and just so excited to meet this new little bundle of joy!!!

Last Day

Today marks the very last day of being pregnant. Ever. I'm a bundle of nerves for some reason (???). I can't eat or drink after midnight tonight, and I check into the hospital at 7:30 am in order for them to start my induction process. Hoping for a quick and painfree (possible??) labor. I'm actually ok with the pain, but am hoping more for the "quick" labor, please no 24 hr labor like with Lincoln. Lawson's was 15 hrs or so, so I'm hoping this one is even quicker!
I'm on the way to pick up my Mom from the airport!!

You can leave your time and weight predictions!!
Mine is: 7 lbs 4oz at 3:45pm.

Easter 2010

Happy Easter from the Flower Mound Four, soon to be Flower Mound Five!!!
Wow, what a busy but fun filled day!!! Boys woke up at 6am excited to see if the Easter Bunny stopped by, which of course he did! He hid Lawson's basket in the baby's crib and Lincoln's basket in the oven! He even hid coin filled eggs throughout the house since I left a note letting him know that we were having a candy-free Easter this year (thanks to our last dental visit!).
After a great breakfast made by Ron, we headed to an awesome church service! Ate out at our usual Sunday restaurant, and headed home to prepare for our neighborhood Easter Egg hunt, that we were hosting. About 30 neighbors showed up, and we had collected about 300plus eggs to hide! Finished our night with a ham dinner, and a bike ride/walk to the park. Amongst all the hustle and bustle of the day, we kept the real meaning of the season first and foremost on our minds: He has Risen!!! Thank you Thank You Thank You Jesus for dying on the cross to save us from our sins!
Boy, am I exhausted, hoping I can actually get some sleep tonight!
PS: Ron got us an iPad, so we've been having fun playing/learning that all day!!!
