Side of nose scratched up to match the stitches. All Boy.

What a week!! VBS and Summer Preschool are now over. What to do next week?? Last night we took Lawson out for a nice dinner, alone, while Lincoln was at VBS. Fun Times. Did you know that Edamame is one of those things like corn and raisons that doesn't digest in a child. Anyway, all is good here. Looking forward to a wonderful weekend. And the 4th is right around the corner. The boys will be in the Flower Mound Childrens Parade.

Wednesday Wrap Up

Vacation Bible School for Lincoln is going great this week. It's from 6-9 pm, and he is really gone from 5-10 by the time I drop him off and pick him up from Emily's house. So, we really miss each other... But, we have been spending a lot of quality time with the Law. He really is enjoying books a lot more, as long as they are books of his choice, and he is getting REALLY good at pointing out all the pictures, and even trying to say all the words. His glue stitches haven't fallen out yet, and there still is a pretty big bump on his head under the stitches. We may take him in for a follow up this week.
This is Lincoln's last week of Summer Preschool. We found out that when he starts in the fall he will be having the same teacher. Which is great, they work well together. She has worked for the school for 25 years or so, so she is great. She also said that most of his summer classmates will also be in his class in the fall.
Thinking about Soccer Tots. They start at 18 months. I can totally see Lawson out there kicking the ball around.

Blowing Mommy a Kiss

Lawson was leaving, literally, and turned

around to blow mommy a kiss goodbye... Captured..

Flower Mound Mom

No, I wasn't prepared for pictures of myself that day. The rain caused a cute wet look on the boys, but not for me.... But Mom R, I took this one for you.

Like These??

I loved the different shots she took, she really captured some natural poses and a lot of expressions. I'm going to be blowing a lot of these up. Family, let me know if you have any favorites you would like.

Our Monkeys

By the way, check out our photographers website, she added some more pictures of the boys under babies and kids...

Highlights

Lincoln is going to Vacation Bible School again this week. Emily, his friend, invited him to go with her to her church, sooo it is every night this week from 6-9PM. Darla and I will take turns dropping off and picking up. He is there right now, and I know him and Emily are in the same class, I know he will have a blast, he loves Bible School!! It's a bit quiet around here w/o him at night...But, Ron and I got to spoil Lawson with some time.

Ron worked from home today, which was nice. He was able to go to Lincoln's gymnastics with us, then we all went to lunch at Lifes a Beach, which is a new restaurant with a beach atmosphere, and the kids get to play in the sand, it was awesome...

LA LA will be here for a 10 day vacation in July. We are looking forward to lots of fun, and lots of babysitting, lol.... LA LA, I think we are going to go to SIX FLAGS while you are here!!! Matthew, when are you coming??? BTW, Did I mention that my not so little nephew is a LIFEGUARD at Schlitterbaun??? Also, did I mention that my sister, SUSAN, got a huge promotion as PRINCIPAL of her school?? She will do great, she is such principal material...

THANK YOU to Uncle Tom for helping us out on our computer situation...

Stagecoach

Lincoln and Lawson in the Stagecoach at the Arberetum. Of course they wouldn't stay together to take one of both of them at the same time!! Maybe next year. Lawson just doesn't sit still, he's like his Daddy.

Arberetum Shots

The boys had the professional pics taken today at the Dallas Arberetum. I've already been able to see them, and they are precious. I'll be posting some soon...

Thursday, June 21

Here it is

Here are some shots of the (expensive) injury. It has "glue" stitches, doesn't look too bad. Some bruising and swelling under the cut still.

BTW, Remember those CUTE pictures the boys had taken professionally last year outside at the Arberetum in their overalls. Well, we are doing it again, tomorrow morning. As long as it isn't storming.... I think she can edit out the ouchy.

Bon Voyage

BYE BYE From Lawson!!

BYE BYE Aunt Jen. Thanks for coming to see us. We had a great time, sorry about ALL the drama (Jen had to experience tornado sirens at 2am, Lawsons ER and stitches experience, vomit in the crib, pee on the floor, Lawson playing in his poop, boys playing in mud and bunches of other yucky things, being sprayed by Lincoln by the hose, our compter crashed from a virus, 2 places we went to were closed down, being lost in Dallas, teething babies, allergies in toddlers, need I say more??

Story Time

Mommy reading to books to Baby Lawson...

He is enjoying being read to more lately.

He likes to point out things in the pictures.

Kermie

Meet Kermie. Lincoln's new friend. He caught this frog at the pond, and we put him in a land/water frog habitat. This is a big deal for a 3 year old!!

First Birthday

Finally got a chance to go pick up Lawson's ONE YEAR Picture. He had this taken in January at Picture People.... So Sweet... BTW, He is doing GREAT since his ER visit last night...

Monday, June 18

ER

Yup, we had our first Emergency Room Visit this evening. Lawson fell onto the coffee table, cut his forehead and had to have stitches. We had a choice of regular sewn stitches, or this Dermostitch which is like Glue, so he got the glue. Poor baby... But it's all going to be OK.

On a more POSITIVE note, we have been having a fun time with Aunt Jen being here. She got here last night, and we were able to go on a bike ride. This morning, we took Lincoln to gymnastics, then met the other Cynthia at Stonebriar mall for shopping, play, and lunch at Cheesecake factory. We brought the boys home, had a babysitter for 2 hours, while Jen and I went out and about. Then Jen babysat for the boys, while Ron and I ate at a Brazilian Steakhouse, Foco De Chao. What an experience!! Then Jen and I took Lincoln to the duck pond to feed the ducks. When we returned home at dusk, this is when Lawson had his injury and we decided to take him to the ER. Lot's going on today, huh??? Welcome to our life, Jen.

The Boys

Taken today, For Your Viewing Enjoyment:

P.T.

Yesterday Lawson went into the bathroom, took his diaper off, threw it in the trash can, sat on the potty chair and went potty!! Then today, when Lincoln was using the rr, Lawson sat on his chair, I pulled off his diaper and he went. Pretty good for 17 months!! The only thing is that he doesn't know how to "point it down", so it sprays everwhere....

GS

Health and Weather permitting, We will be having our very first ever Garage Sale on Saturday. And Lincoln will have a Lemonade Stand...

First Day

Lincoln's First day of Summer Preschool at DKH Academy. He will go for 3 hrs every Tues and Thurs of the month of June (6 Times), in attempts to prepare for him starting in the Fall. He was SOOO excited this morning to go, with millions of questions. Just got back from dropping him off. He loved his classroom and his teacher, we will pick him up at noon. Lawson and I will stay at home and do bunches of housework... Here are some pics...

Waiting at the Front Door. Is it TIME yet??

Nice new Haircut...

Lawson did not like dropping Lincoln off!!
