Arm Update

Tough times as a parent, are when you feel so helpless having a hurt child. It just puts this big pit in my tummy to Lincoln with the hurt arm. However, he doesn't seem to mind.... Today, his fingers were a bit puffy and swollen, but that got better. He slept great, 12 hours without waking up in pain, and he just naturally slept with his arm elevated. Today he complained a bit about the whole thing being uncomfortable, but he kept himself busy. Friday morning (his 5th birthday) we will go to the specialist in Grapevine (the same one that put Lawson's cast on), to get his cast. I guess he will never forget his 5th birthday. When Ron was the same exact age, he broke his collarbone falling off a slide. Personally, I have never broken a bone.... It seems so shocking to me that both of my boys have already broken a bone at such a young age.....

Good News is that it is his LEFT arm/hand and he is right handed. So, that makes a huge difference. But, he can't do anything with his left, so he needs a lot of help doing things he used to be able to do independently. It's going to be a long 4 weeks.
