Lawson got to have his best bud from preschool, Mark, over for a playdate. I picked them both up from class, and they came back here and played Super Hero's, played in big brothers room, and Wii (boxing, bowling, and golf!). Mark and Lawson have very similar personalities and really get along well.
PS: Yes, Lawson's face is banged up. Again. It was a boy thing, jumping and crashing into a friend on the playground....

Last minute visit
Grandpa Lucek (my Dad) happened to have an extended layover today at the DFW airport, flying from where he lives in Illinois to Florida. We had just enough time to pick him up, and have a great dinner at Outback Steakhouse. It was a great visit, Dad!!!
PS: We live FIVE to ten minutes from the DFW airport, so if and when anyone has a layover at DFW let us know and we can zoom up for a quick visit!!!

It's nice to be able to plan this...
Today I made my "appointment" to deliver the baby.
Yes, having this baby is going to be "scheduled" or "induced". Having a traveling husband, this is something we have to do!
April 8th will be the big day. Unless he decides to come on his own earlier...

Growing up right before our eyes.
Brag Alert!!!
Getting ready to brag on my big boy, Lincoln!!! I just can't believe that he is growing up soooo much this past year. He is reading so well now, he is even reading his own e-mails! He is in the highest reading level in his class, Level E. It's amazing how much he has learned this year. He came home today and could count by 5's and 10's all the way to 100, that impressed me! Also BIG NEWS for Lincoln: He is RIDING HIS BIKE!!! He finally caught on. He saved his allowance and report card money and bought himself a super cool helmet and some bike supplies, and once he made up his mind to learn he got it after just a couple of days trying. (Lawson won't be too long after him!)
Lastly, Lincoln was chosen to participate in a program at school called Circle of Friends. He will be a "helper, role model, mentor, friend" to a special needs child. Lincoln is such a caring, helpful person he is so excited to do this. He will start by being a "lunch buddy" and a "walking buddy", then soon he will get to go into the special ed classroom to "help" with circle time, reading, etc... Then the next step would be getting together outside of school. I attended a meeting about this tonight, and it seems like a great program both for the special needs student as well as for the regularly placed student.
Anyways, just feeling especially proud of Lincoln tonight. I am so glad there is a new baby coming to our family because my babies are growing up and I'm so not ready for that! It makes it easier for me to see Lincoln mature because I know I have a new one on the way!

Our Spot
We have officially "Adopted a Spot" here in Flower Mound. We have been "unofficially" cleaning up an area near us, so we decided to make it official. Whenever we go on a walk, the boys know to bring a trash bag and we (they) pick up the trash. Ron takes care of the raking and removing branches, etc... A great family project that helps the community. We keep checking if our "Sign" is posted yet!

Sibling Class
Today the boys attended a sibling class at the hospital. They got to learn all about babies, how to help, what to expect, etc... They got to take a tour of the labor and delivery unit. They saw where the baby will be born, and also the room that me and the baby will stay in afterwards. They got to observe a baby in the nursery that was just born. I think it was a great way to get them more prepared to what is about to happen!
They got to decorate Big Brother shirts!

Baby Update
Lincoln got to go with me today to my sonogram with the specialist. At the specialist office, you get to view the baby on a super large screen TV the size of the entire wall. So, it was super cool to experience that with Lincoln. We got to see him open his mouth and stick out his tongue a couple of times. Everything looked great on the sonogram. No worries at this time, however nothing is for sure until the baby is born. (unless I opt for an amniocentisis which I don't want to have).
I am measuring at least a week early, so that's good news for me. Looks like we may be having the baby earlier in April than expected! I actually get to schedule my induction at my next appointment so we are looking at the weekend of April 10th-ish.
Right now Baby L weighs 2 lbs 2 oz, at 26 (maybe 27) weeks. He would be able to survive on his own at this point.
He has blond hair and blue eyes. (Just kidding! sono's aren't that good yet!)
I am bursting out of my maternity clothes. Had to go shopping today to buy some larger sizes: I picked up a GAP sweatsuit which is super comfy and cute, and I have a feeling I'm going to be living in this for awhile!
My belly just keeps growing straight out, not side to side... It actually looks quite silly to me! I'll work on getting a picture posted. It's hard to believe that this baby has 3 more months to grow. Ron thinks I am as big now as I was full term with Lawson, and I have to agree with him!

Is it just me???
Dumb, I know. But this is what I wake up thinking...
The batman ice cream cake (picture on previous post) was from Baskin Robbin's, and it was yummy. It was excactly what Lawson wanted. But I'm wondering 2 things. There was so much room on the top of the cake, why didn't they put the writing on top versus on the side. And why would you write in cursive for a 4 year old?
Well, I'm off for a busy busy day. The boys both have early out today, so my morning is fun filled with helping out at Lincoln's school, running errands, having boys friends over, etc... The boys have a 4 day weekend, so let the fun begin!

Boomerangs and Batman
Today marked the end of the countless holiday/birthday celebrations. We have been having an abundance of holiday/Christmas/Anniversary/Birthday celebrations for the past month. Today was Lawson's "friends" birthday party at a Bounce House Place called Boomerangs. 12 kiddo's in all, they had a lot of fun, and Lawson loved every minute of it!
Just 99 To Go!!!
Baby Ticker over there says I just have 99 days to go! Like Jen pointed out, it's really a bit less than that because I'm going to be scheduling an induction a week early!
Lot's to do in less than 99 days! We have emptied and cleared out our front room/study/guest room in preparations for the nursery. Everything is gone, it's completely empty. Ron will fix up the room: paint, paneling, etc, etc.... Then comes the furniture! Which we opted to keep the boy's baby furniture versus our 1st option of selling that furniture and buying new. Once the furniture is in, the decorating will begin: And finally "stocking" up the room to be ready to welcome the new little one.
Friday I have a sonogram with the specialist. Lincoln is going to go with me so he can "see" the baby... He is very excited.
Saturday the boys are going to a sibling class at the hospital where they will learn how to be big brothers, baby safety, how to hold the baby, etc. etc... This will be fun!
Today is Lawson's "Friends" party at Boomerangs (Bounce House Heaven). Got the Batman cake, got the Spiderman filled goody bags, we are ready to go! Lincoln even gets to miss school for a bit to attend!

Lincoln's Big Goal for 2010
Lincoln completed an assignment at school and I saw it hanging on the wall in his classroom today.
He had to write his own sentences to complete these 2 sentences....
In 2009, I....
I played with my toys.
In 2010 I want to:
Learn to become a man.
The kid is growing up quickly, back in 2009 he just wanted to play with toys, but this year will be growing into a man!

Getting Ready!
I have butterfly's in tummy with excitement about having 3 boys!
I'm totally going to be one of those moms that dresses all 3 boys alike...
We hate Good Bye's
They will be leaving tomorrow, after a great fun filled 3.5 week visit with us.
We'll be seeing you in March, when we come invade your place in Florida for 2 weeks!!!
Someone is turning 4 today!!!
It's bittersweet that my "baby" is turning 4 today! Just like everyone says, time sure does fly!!!
Lawson's birthday has included several "mini" celebrations. While in SA for our Christmas party, we had a little birthday party (along with Lauren) with his cousins, aunts/uncles, Grammy. We had his "family/home" party on Monday night since Daddy was going to be out of town all week. Tuesday he had his birthday at school, then next week he will have his "friends" party at Boomerangs (a bounce house place) with his classmates and playgroup friends.... Fun Fun Fun to be turning the big 4!!!
Lawson, Here are the 4 things I love most about you:
1. Your big blue eyes. What can I say? I could (and do!) stare at them all day. You get compliments on how blue and pretty your eye's are everywhere we go!
2. Your determination and persistence. I know sometimes this is what frustrates me also, but I know these are great qualities for your future! You get this from Daddy.
3. Your athleticness. You are the strongest, most athletic 4 year old I have ever seen! There hasn't been a sport you have tried that you aren't awesome at! I'm predicting that your athletic ability will be taking you far in life in some way.
4. Your voice: you have always had such a sweet voice and I love the way you have always enunciated your words. Now that you are 4, I love the conversations that we have! Keep them coming, you amaze me.

Anniversary Date Pictures... Happy 7 years Ron!!
24 weeks pregnant!
Weight gain: 11 lbs
(Got blood results back today: Do not have gestational diabetes, but DO have anemia. I had this with Lincoln's pregnancy but not with Lawson's. Just need to take extra Iron, and now I know why if I feel extra tired and dizzy!)
