Today we out to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch for a fundraiser festival that Chili's was sponsoring. The boys had tons of fun. They must have had poor advertising bc no one showed up. The boys had about 3 hours of fun with almost the entire festival to themselves. They even had Chili's staff taking them around into the bounce house obstacles, etc... They got their hair spray painted, face painted, tattoo's, played carnival games, rode the chuga chuga choo choo several times, bounced in the bounce houses, ate fresh kettle corn, and just had a ball. They also had caricature's done.... What do you think??? Lincoln even got to help color in Lawsons picture...

She was asking them about what they liked... Hence Lincoln with his laptop computer in his boat fishing... And Lawson is pointing at the moon carrying his favorite truck bedtime book.

Snooze

Here is Lucky (shaved) being caught taking a quick snooze sitting up. She is so funny, because she is such a girly girl and when she sits she always crosses her legs and looks so prim and proper....

Atkins

Ron is going on the Atkins diet in an attempt to lose 20 lbs.

This means no carbs.... His favorite thing.

He has lost 7 lbs in the 1st three days!!

Anyone else tried this?

Water Fun

Here is some good ole FREE summer time fun. This morning we went over to the local shopping center and ran through the sprinklers. They had about 1.5 hrs of fun and exercise...

Bubbles

We were able to beat the heat today. I put the jets on in the jacuzzi tub and put in bubbles. It was pretty crazy. I'm going to have to get more original, it's going to be a long hot summer.

We did it. We got Lucky shaved. She looks pretty silly. BUT it's going to be so much better for these summer months. I'll take a picture once she settles down. She looks like a completely different dog. Lincoln said she looks like Piper now.

Memorial Day

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend. We did. We had a nice cookout on Sunday, then on Monday took Nate to our favorite Mexican restaurant. Ron and I cleaned the garage. Mostly just spent a lot of time at home....

Lucky's New Do

To help with all the shedding and the heat here in Texas, on Monday Lucky will be taken to the groomers for a complete shaving.... (following in Toms footsteps). I have seen a couple of Golden Retrievers in our neighborhood with what they call a "teddy bear" cut, and it actually looks really nice. It makes the Goldens look like a Lab. So, we are going to try it. I'm thinking it's going to be great. Easier dog baths, less shedding in the house, and of course I think she will be a lot cooler since we spend a lot of time outside. She might look a little scrawny... She is VERY small for a Golden. She is exactly 50 lbs. Her father is 100, so I guess she was like the little petite runt.... I'll let you know how it goes.

hAPPY bIRTHDAy rON

Happy Birthday to Ron today.

His 32nd bday has come and gone. It was a good day, I'll spare you the details but highlights were the Hibachi grill for dinner, handmade pottery by the boys for daddy, ice cream cake, painting the fence, park with Lawson, fried bananas, sushi, a fixed watch, lots and lots of other fun.... Ron even got ME a new IPOD for his bday and treated me for a pedicure getaway today. We love you Ron.

Lake House

THIS my friends and family, is the LAKE house we have rented for our annual Lu%#@ family trip. This (mansion) is Lakefront and has a swimming pool. We are going to have So. Much. Fun. All four of us siblings and our families, and Mom and Herb will be there vacationing for 4 days, 3 nights. Lots of food, lots of fun, lots of swimming, lots and lots of memories and fun. Thank you to Tom and Courtney for putting this together this year. We even have cool family trip Tshirts being made...

Taylor Friend

LAST Day of Preschool

Today is Lincoln's last day of preschool. (Taylor is coming over today after school!!)

The Big Campout

Somehow, Somewhere, Lincoln came up with this grand idea that him and his cousin Nate were going on a "camp out" last night. (Nathan had no idea about this....) But, all day yesterday Lincoln was talking about this campout. He planned for it all day. He packed his suitcase on his own... gathered up his toothbrush, sleeping bag, pillow, flashlight, etc.... He even had a checklist.
Nathan being as kind as he is, even though he didn't get home until 9pm.... Helped make Lincolns camp out dream come true. They decided to camp out back on the deck. They set up this Buzz Lightyear tent type of thing of Lincoln's, Lincoln had his suitcase, flashlight, etc... They finally got all set up and they enjoyed a THREE MINUTE campout before Lincoln was ready to come back in. He said they weren't "far away enough". Oh well, nice try. Thanks Nate for Lincoln's first outdoor campout (even though it was only 3 minutes...)

WOW 97??? I guess we are officially into summer here in Dallas!!

On another note, last night out of the blue Lincoln says "You know what Mommy? When I become a Daddy, and have my own boys, I am going to let them play in the mud as much as they want. And I am going to take them to work with me every day".

Lincoln asked if he could be Santa Clause when he grew up. He would probably make a great Santa Claus, but we are still pushing for the Doctor thing.

IHOP and the Hat

Nathan told Lincoln that he would take him on the bike in the morning to IHOP. Lincoln said that he wanted to wear his ball cap to bed so that he can wear it to IHOP in the am...

And so I peaked in on Lawson... This is exactly how he looked. He fell asleep with his Leapster, holding a game. He ALWAYS has to be holding on to something when he is sleeping: it's always a toy but every night he brings something totally different to bed. You can't take it out of his hand while he is sleeping, because he has this powerful grip on it....

Nate

When Nate has time off, he has been spoiling the boys.

Today, he took Lincoln to McDonalds and the movies.

Then he took Lawson on a bike ride in the bike bug and went to the park,

then he took us all out for ice cream tonight!!

Lawson loves Nate to read him books and push him on the swing.

The boys love to play hide and seek with him...

We are glad to have him staying with us until he starts Navy Boot Camp.

It was Pajama and Pillow day today for Lincoln's preschool. Of course Lawson thought he had to bring his pillow along too for the ride. And now I'm thinking I should stick with the theme, and get into my PJ's for the rest of the day....lol...

Ray Ray

I won't go into specifics... But, Ron will be going up to NY to watch his little sister, Reaah graduate with her Bachelors in Nursing. He will stay for 4 nights, that way he can make sure he spends time with everyone!! We will miss him, but we are proud of Reaah!!! Way to go Ya Ya for making a 4.0 this semester!!

FBNO

I'm heading out to Brio Italian Restaurant tonight for Mommies Night Out. Looking forward to seeing Cara, Debbie and Darla.

In college we called Girls Night Out FBNO, meaning Fabulous Babe's Night Out. So, 20 yrs later, when we get together we call it FBNO. Cara's husband says now it means "Former Babes Night Out".

Shayne

Last night The Bachelor proposed to Shayne (my guess) for those of you that had no idea what I was talking about.

New Rule

Lincoln has to do Three chores for Mommy before he can get on the computer.

Last Game

Lincoln's last game of the year. Good thing, because it started to get tooo hot for an outdoor sport. It was 92 at this game. He got his trophy, if you come over he will be proud to show it off. Now we have to decide for next year to have him play Tball or Soccer. Next year it will be coach pitch, not Tball. And Lawson could play next year too... But, I think Soccer would be fun too. Baseball has a lot of standing around and sitting around time, and the boys need more activity!!This is a picture of Coach Shawn, he has been Lincolns coach for 2 seasons now, his son is on the team.
