Ron's Wood Work

For those of you that know Ron, you are aware that he is always working on some kind of project or another, most likely something made from wood. This is his latest and greatest... a family bench swing. Most people would think he bought some kind of kit and just assembled this... Nope! He came home with truck full of cedar, drew up some plans, and when the weekend was over this is what we had in our front yard. We love it! We've already put in several hours of swing time in the front yard.
Next project: Modifying and adding to our current wooden Rainbow swing set in the back yard. Not sure what this entails, but I know the boys were able to submit requests... Such as an enclosed play house up top.
How did I end up with such a talented husband?

Baby Lennox trying out his high chair. He's been joining us at mealtime, he likes watching us and having us all talk to him... I can't believe that in 2 weeks, he will be 4 months old and will start eating some solids!
This little one is almost too good to be true, we have been blessed!

Ron and the boys have been walking/riding bikes down to the pond near us and doing lots of fishing this summer (daily!). This was the big catch today...

A little bit of freedom

His legs are finally free!!! At least for part of the day.... He's had the braces on 24/7 for 3 months, and now for the last month he only has to wear them overnight and while napping. It was soooo nice to take them off for the 1st time and just give him a big big hug, a super nice bubble bath, and he got to experience a few things for the 1st time (the door swing....) And he actually got to wear a real outfit instead of the T-shirt and diaper only wardrobe he has been sporting....

I'm 3 months now!!!

Fun Times

I was too busy having fun, and taking care of the baby to take any pictures at our July 4th party, but here is one a neighbor took! (that's a friend: Jaden on left, and Lawson and Lincoln) The boys turned the bounce house into a deflated bounce house, water slide type thing... you had to be there, but I can say that it provided at least 6 hours of entertainment!

Fun for the 4th

It was quite an eventful 4th of July for us this year. Here are some pictures of the children's parade. I took the big boys to ride bikes in the parade while Ron stayed home with the baby. This was our 5th year to participate in the parade. We didn't get around this year to decorating the bikes, but we still had a great time. At the end of the parade there is a big party for the kids with bounce houses, hot dogs, and a magic show. Somehow or another, every time we go to a show that asks for volunteer's, Lincoln ends up on stage. What a ham! The clown made salt pour out of his ear!!
On Sunday, we hosted a neighborhood party/BBQ in our front yard. We had smokers, and grills, bounce house, slip and slide, tents... food/drinks. It was fun, hoping to make it an annual event. The boys played from 8am until 11pm..... they were wiped out!!!

Quick Visitors

Yesterday, we had a super quick visit/lunch with my Dad and Evelyn, as they laid over at the DFW airport on their return home to Illinois. Lennox got to meet his Grandpa Lucek for the 1st time. They share the same middle name (along with my brother Tom): Noa.

Baby Playtime

The (big) boys are having more and more fun with their baby brother, as he gets older/bigger, and can interact more. As you can see, Lennox has grown quite a lot. He has doubled in size! His legs are actually "pudgy" now, which we prefer to the "scrawny" one's he had!
