Wednesday.....

It's hump day!!! I made us crepe's (swedish pancakes) for breakfast, and 20 extra to make chicken crepes for dinner tonight...
House is still in "christmas" mode, toy's everywhere!! I did start with cleaning out Lawson's room and filled up a box of toys that are to "babyish" for him. They will be sent to the attic for the next baby that comes along....not neccesarily ours...
When Lawson wakes up, we are going to the gym... Lawson's first time to be in the big kids section now that he is walking, no more baby reseervations!!
By the time Reaah left, Lawson was saying her name: Ra Ra. Yesterday he also starting saying some version of kitty.... keekee.... He seems to be feeling a lot better, but I think he gave everyone else his cold: me, nanny, ron, reaah, etc...

Santa

In case you were wondering, yes, Santa brought me everything on my list plus much much more!! Thanks Santa!! I love this IPOD thing, I'm listening to Tony Bennet as we speak. I bought Ron the new Tony Bennett CD: Duets. It is awesome. This CD celebrates his 80th bday, and he sings a duet with 19 different artist (ex.. Barb Streisand, Paul McCartney, Elton John, Dixie Chicks, etc......).

Overall, it was a fantastic Christmas. The boy's have been so excited playing with the new toys, ALL day long.... We had a fantastic Turkey dinner, made once again by Nanny, yummy bachlava for dessert, took Daniel to the airport, read the Christmas Story from the bible, and just spent the day being a family.... I loved it....

Family Update's

1. Lincoln and I went to Houston on Friday for the Lucek Family Christmas Party. Had to leave Lawson and Ron home: Lawson is sick (again), had to do breathing treatments, etc.... BUT, Lincoln and I had a very nice time over at Tom and Court's for our party. The WHOLE family was able to make it. We drove in for the DAY, yes we are crazy. Yes, it was a 5 hr drive EACH way. We spent twice as much time that day in the car than in Houston. LONG day, but worth every minute traveling. We came home with a Suburban PACKED FULL with toys and presents for the boys.... THANKS everyone, you really spoiled them this year!!! And the toys have kept them BUSY while anticipating Santa coming.... Since Lawson didn't make it, he has been able to open up presents one by one every once in awhile.....

2. Reaah and Jeremy are on the flight home AS WE speak... We enjoyed their stay, they spoiled the boys as well.... They will be back in the summer????

3. We all loaded up 9 people in our hot tub last night. That was fun, and quite relaxing!! Lincoln LOVED it... Then came in for delicious dessert made by Nanny.

4. We had our "christmas dinner" last night with Reaah and Jer, had turkey and ham and ALL the fixins... Prepared 199% by Nanny, thanks and sorry for not being able to help. But, it took 5 of us to clean up the kitchen..... Teamwork!!

5. Daniel Varner, Ron's cousin was fortunate enough to be able to fly in for a visit with us for the holidays before he has to return to Iraq. Lincoln has enjoyed giving up his room for a "real soldier" to sleep in!! We have enjoyed Daniel's visit, and the boy's love playing with him!!

6. We will go to our Christmas Service at our church at 5 then head out to eat. Santa will be here tonight!! Lincoln can't wait to leave out the cookies and carrots....

Kirby

Heard from his new family already this am: This is what she had to say:

He is doing great. I did get him a larger crate to sleep in. We put him to bed and didn't hear a peep out of him.
He seems quite content. He is a good boy. Thank you so much! We love him already.

Birthday BOY

Happy Birthday to Lincoln Today!!
He turned 3, what a big boy!!
Reaah, Jeremy, and myself took him to Build A Bear: Reaah bought him a Froggy to make, he is sleeping with it right now.
Then we walked around the mall a bit and rode the carousal. Then we took the boys to Chuck E Cheese for lunch and play to celebrate his bday. Chuck E even visited the table and sang happy bday....
After naptime, we had a delicious seafood lasanga made by Nanny, and had a small bday party for him including all his presents, an ice cream cake made by nanny, and lot's of fun....

Ron, me, Reaah and Jeremy will go see Nutcracker tomorrow night...

Kirby Update

OK, we truly did give this a try, and it just didn't

work out. Isn't this the cutest face you have ever seen?? Well, we did not adjust well with having a puppy. I was in tears several days over the chewing, housebreaking, barking, jumping, etc..... Nothing personally wrong with Kirby, just I have never been a dog person. This type of dog is a companion dog, which is nice, but also means you do not get a break whatsever.... Anyway, took more time than the boys.... Needed to refocus my attention back on the boys.... After a long drawn out 3 week search for a new home, Kirby left us tonight. He went with a couple who live out in the country with one acre for him to run... There children are grown up, but will have grandkids visiting. Mom works out of home, so she will have plenty of time to devote to Kirby. We are really going to miss him, but I bet tomorrow will be my least stressful day in a lonnnnng while. Lincoln does not know yet, it was his bday today, so I'm going to tell him tomorrow.

On a happier note, Justice will be coming back to us on Thurs. Her new home did not work out, so she will be returning. I'm glad because we really missed her. She will continue to live with us an outdoor kitty, and will have to bring her into the garage during the freezes...
