One Lucky Mommy
My week of Facebook posts, for those of you that refuse to get on Facebook!
I'm not sure which one is better... That I got to go to Babies R Us tonight and pick out a stroller of my choice (hated my last one) or that tomorrow I will be at the spa getting a facial. (Thanks Hubby, for both!)
Back to school shopping: DONE!!!
We decided that we couldn't send Aunt Loretta back to Colorado with out her getting to witness a fall (by both Lawson and Lincoln) that lead to lot's of blood, screaming (me), and a couple of butterfly stitches (on Lawson's cheek).....
Took the 3 boys to see Despicable Me... The baby slept the 1st half, and cuddled with me on my lap for the 2nd half, and I was really able to enjoy the time with my boys and the movie. I have to say that was the best "kids" movie I have ever seen, I loved it!

First Bite
Now that Lennox has reached his 4 month mark, he gets to start eating!
Here he is tonight, getting his 1st ever solid food, rice cereal. He loved it, and opened up WIDE for every bite! Let the feeding fun begin!

Visitors, Visitors
Wow, what a week it's been over here for us!
As most of you know, we love to have visitors (yes, that's an invite!)... and this was our week to have some!
On Friday night, Ron's Aunt Karen and Uncle Stephen came in from San Antonio, and brought their 3 Grandchildren. We had a nice dinner, and the kids had a great bike ride and lot's of fun.
On Sunday, Jen and her baby Masen came in for a 2 night visit. Also on Sunday, my Aunt Loretta arrived. She is a college professor (retired) in Colorado, and was here for a work conference. (She is the author of some college Chemistry books... a very intelligent women!).... She was able to spend 4 nights with us (I have some pic's of her visit that will be posted soon!). Then on Monday, my BFF from San Antonio, Gina, will be here to visit with her 2 kiddo's. We'll get the kiddo's together to play for the day, then at night we will have a moms night out with some of our other college friends who live here.

Ron's Wood Work

For those of you that know Ron, you are aware that he is always working on some kind of project or another, most likely something made from wood. This is his latest and greatest... a family bench swing. Most people would think he bought some kind of kit and just assembled this... Nope! He came home with truck full of cedar, drew up some plans, and when the weekend was over this is what we had in our front yard. We love it! We've already put in several hours of swing time in the front yard. Next project: Modifying and adding to our current wooden Rainbow swing set in the back yard. Not sure what this entails, but I know the boys were able to submit requests... Such as an enclosed play house up top.
How did I end up with such a talented husband?

A little bit of freedom
His legs are finally free!!! At least for part of the day.... He's had the braces on 24/7 for 3 months, and now for the last month he only has to wear them overnight and while napping. It was soooo nice to take them off for the 1st time and just give him a big big hug, a super nice bubble bath, and he got to experience a few things for the 1st time (the door swing....) And he actually got to wear a real outfit instead of the T-shirt and diaper only wardrobe he has been sporting....

Fun Times
I was too busy having fun, and taking care of the baby to take any pictures at our July 4th party, but here is one a neighbor took! (that's a friend: Jaden on left, and Lawson and Lincoln) The boys turned the bounce house into a deflated bounce house, water slide type thing... you had to be there, but I can say that it provided at least 6 hours of entertainment!Fun for the 4th
It was quite an eventful 4th of July for us this year. Here are some pictures of the children's parade. I took the big boys to ride bikes in the parade while Ron stayed home with the baby. This was our 5th year to participate in the parade. We didn't get around this year to decorating the bikes, but we still had a great time. At the end of the parade there is a big party for the kids with bounce houses, hot dogs, and a magic show. Somehow or another, every time we go to a show that asks for volunteer's, Lincoln ends up on stage. What a ham! The clown made salt pour out of his ear!!
On Sunday, we hosted a neighborhood party/BBQ in our front yard. We had smokers, and grills, bounce house, slip and slide, tents... food/drinks. It was fun, hoping to make it an annual event. The boys played from 8am until 11pm..... they were wiped out!!!

laugh out loud lol
I've caught Lennox (2 months) twice laughing in his sleep. Today in the car, Lincoln got him to laugh for the very 1st (awake) time! Way to go big brother! Later on in the day, I also got him chuckling.... so cute!!!

Swim Events
We had Lincoln's 1st official swim meet this morning. We got to learn all the ins and outs of what a swim meet entails, it is quite the event!
Lincoln swam 3 events:
100 meter freestyle relay
25 meter freestyle
25 meter backstroke
No, he didn't win 1st place... but he did great! Apparently, you get all your results and ribbons at the next swim practice. It was great because the meet started at 7am and was going on until 2pm. However, the swimmers were free to leave after all their events were over. All of Lincoln's events were over by 9:15. Score!
Here's a picture of him... He is swimming so fast you can hardly see him!

Lennox has a Playgroup!

Lennox has playgroup today. Yes, my 2 month old has a social life! There are 4 brand new baby BOYS in our neighborhood, so we've decided to get them all 4 together on a regular basis. Today is their 2nd "meeting"... Now if he will only wake up, it's almost 9 already!
He also has his orthopedic appointment today, busy guy!

2 month pic
I haven't gotten any really good shots of the baby lately, but here are a couple from today.
He is 2 months old now!! At 11lbs 11 oz, he has almost
doubled in size!
You can tell his face is really filling out.
Daddy's Boy!!
(Ron and I are still pleasantly shocked that we have not one, not two, but three boys!)

Lennox serious look!
Come visit!
And here's one to throw in of the older boys... This is at a picnic at Lincoln's school.
Summer
Lincoln's last day of school is tomorrow!
Next week will be our 1st full week of summer. I'm feeling overwhelmed as I'm looking at our calendar... It's just the 1st week, and I have scheduled: Every single morning is swim team practice (8:45-10), and Every single evening is vacation bible school (6:30-8:30). And in between swim and vbs, we have: hosting a playgroup, piano lessons, Lincoln's dentist appointment for a root canal/crown, swim team pictures, bible study, gymnastics, check up appointment for me, swim meet, etc etc etc....
Welcome to the relaxing days of summer!

2 mo check up
Lennox 2 month check up.
FIVE Vaccines..... Yikes.... some were put in same syringe, so he only had to have 3 pricks and one oral dose. Taking babies to the the doc for check ups/shots is one of my least favorite parts of parenthood. Especially when you are also juggling other kids in the exam room!
Weight: 11lbs 11oz Great Job!!! He's now in the 50th percentile for weight, the last 3 visits he was only in the 10th! Haven't been able to get a height/length because of his brace.

ZZZZZZZZZ
Hoping it wasn't just a fluke, but baby Lennox slept through the night (10pm-6am). It feels so nice to have a full nights rest (me). He's 2 months old today (8 weeks).
From what I read (Babywise), getting your baby to sleep through the night at this age isn't "Luck", it's "training"... So, I'm proud of myself. I guess by the 3rd time around, you learn what to do and what not to do!
He's doing great, and I'm absolutely love love love loving having a baby around again. And I'm really amazed at how surprisingly easy it has been juggling 3 active boys! Lincoln's last day of school is on the 10th (Thursday), and I'm so excited about all the fun summer is going to bring!
