Another Bonus!
Just had to post these.
Ever since Lincoln was a wee little baby we have managed to take some sort or another Live Bunny pictures for Easter each and every year. Love love love live bunny shots!
This year they had live bunny photo's at the Easter party at our awesome church. And a good friend of mine was the photographer so I got a sneak peak... (they are giving out the pictures at the Easter service... great way to get everyone to attend!)
My thoughts:
Lennox: So fun! Poor bunny though got grabbed, and grabbed, and grabbed. He tolerated it very well!
Lawson: Sweet. My other "baby" who is all grown up now. Always so photogenic!
Lincoln: ???? Why oh why did you go get your hair crazy sprayed while I was waiting in line for pictures???? Oh well, something for him to laugh at when he is older.

Thoughts on my Blog:
1. I don't have the time to write out anything profound, witty, or even interesting....Like all the other bloggers! I always have these great blog idea's, but never have the time or energy to sit down and work on it. So, all I end up doing is posting a bunch of cute pictures of cute kids... To me that seems so boring, but I'm supposing to far away family that may be considered interesting!
2. Blog burnout... the blog has become boring. Just get a couple of interesting comments from the same couple of interesting people (you know who you are). Seems like my blog has been flagged for a bunch of spam. I have lot's and lot's of "interesting" followers!
3. No, I don't make blog "books" but I do download the blog to a disc... so that someday my boys may want to read (and laugh) at it.
3. Well, so this is what I have decided to do.... I am going to take a BLOG BREAK !!! I am going to end this blog, Flower Mound Five after 5 years. I am going to re-create a brand new blog.... and I will share the link here when it's ready. Hoping it to be something more fun and exciting, with a brand new start!

I'd like to "simplify" my life in as many area's as possible.
My heart isn't into writing the blog anymore! I have been keeping up with it for FIVE YEARS!!!!!
It's soooo much quicker and easier to keep up with my Facebook. Doesn't make sense to me to be posting pictures to 2 different places.
I am aware however that certain family members (Nanny, Courtney L) do not have a FB account...so, my suggestion is that if you REALLY want to check in with us.... You don't have to have an account. My pictures are PUBLIC... so you can just go to Facebook.com and search my name and VIOLA there we will be! I post pictures, comments and status updates several times throughout the day. It's so easy when you have an iPhone! It's stressing me out having "write on blog" on my to-do list. Need less "to do's!"

Lawson loving every minute of the beach. Literally this was ONLY moment that he stood still whole day.

Lennox's 1st trip to the beach. He was very curious, but seemed to enjoy it. Took a 2 hour nap on a towel right in the middle of all the action.

Yesterday was a full day of traveling, and today was spent most entirely at the beach enjoying the fun, sun, sand, waves, family, and beach.

My Uncle Don (my Dad's brother) and Aunt Mary (from Boston) had a whole day layover at the DFW airport on their way from vacationing in Maui to visit one of their son's in Dublin. The layover was from 6am until 5pm, so we were able to spend a whole Saturday visiting with them! This was the 1st time they got to meet the 3 boys.... Here is the one and only picture I was able to snap while they were here!

Happy Valentine's Day to my family and friends, and other readers! All in all it was a good one over here. Last week, our whole family of 5 suffered from recovering from the flu. My mom came in for a 4 night visit, so I'm praying that she didn't catch the flu while she was here. But it sure was nice to have that extra set of hands trying to get everyone well! My brother also flew in for an overnight visit to watch Lincoln get baptized... praying he didn't take any flu germs home either.

Thanks to my Valentine Ron Geri who cooked me lobster tails and steak last night, gave me a new pair of boots and shoes... he picked out himself. A boxful of goodies from Nestle Tollhouse, and a bouquet of flowers.... Good job for someone who is sick with the flu!

Celebrating Grandpa's Birthday

God was good to us this year, and we were able to spend another birthday with Grandpa Dave. This was a difficult year for him and he underwent some open heart surgery's.
But we are thankful for his current good health!!!
They will be leaving us next week to return to Florida, so we hope to spend lot's of quality time with them this week!

Quick Summary of my Quick trip to San Fran

Lennox and I were able to join Ron is San Francisco for a quick visit, while he was there working. Lincoln and Lawson stayed in Flower Mound with Nanny and Grandpa Dave. I had never been to San Fran, so I was excited for the opportunity! It was a fun filled few days....

We stayed downtown, in Fisherman's Wharf near Pier 31.

We went on an hour long river boat ride that took us under the Golden Gate Bridge, and also to look at Alcatraz and some sea lions! It was a very foggy day, so even though we were right under the bridge, we could hardly see it!

If you look REALLY closely, you can see the Golden Gate Bridge right behind us through the fog...

While I was in San Fran, I got to meet up with an old (but young) friend. I used to be Becky's babysitter starting when she was 2, now she is all grown up living in San Fran working 2 jobs and attending grad school. We met for breakfast at a local (and yummy) bakery...

Hanging around at the hotel. Can you tell he was suffering from 2 ear infections and 2 new teeth popping through???? This boy is always smiling even when he is suffering!

Muir Woods to see the Redwood tree's. This was my favorite part of the trip... Beautiful!!!
Our Goal: Take the boys back to San Fransisco one day... We want to take a bike ride over the Golden Gate Bridge with all 3 boys!!! You can rent bikes on one side, ride over, then take a ferry boat ride back.

Lawson wanted to have his big FIFTH year birthday party at Excite (Gymnastic's) gym, where he currently attends. He specifically wanted a BOYS ONLY party! I liked that idea b/c I thought it that environment, the boys could be boys and not have to "be gentle" around the girls! It worked out great, loved seeing all the boys together! He had 15 friends come, including Lincoln! He wanted a Star Wars themed cake and party supplies, and most of his friends gave him Star Wars presents! It was fun!!! Next he will have his "family party" tomorrow... on his actual b-day. Then I can take a deep breath since I will officially be done with the madness of Christmas/2 birthdays/Anniversary.
P.S. I CAN'T believe he is FIVE!!!

Besides a trip to the doc to find out Lawson has strep, Ron building a new roof for our back patio, a wonderful dinner prepared by Nanny, watching Toy Story 3, the big event of our New Years Eve this year was putting together our gingerbread house. Better late than never! After spending the entire morning constructing the house, they were able to dig into after they ate lunch. Fun times!!

Ron has a business trip this this month to San Fransisco. I have always wanted to go to San Fran, so we are taking advantage of Nanny/Dave being here.... I will get to tag along (bringing baby, too!), while the big boys stay back with Grandparents. I'm so excited!!! Baby and I will tour the city while Ron works then spend our evenings with the 3 of us. I'll just be staying 2 nights, but hope to have a great "mini" vacation!

Every year, our Christmas's keep getting better and better than the last! Boys got spoiled by family and Santa. Funny thing is on Christmas Eve night, Lincoln was asking what Santa was going to bring him because he already had everything he wanted! Both sides of our families really went all out this year, and seriously we could have gone without a Santa visit all together! But as you can see, Santa came by and spoiled them too. Since they both have b-days near Christmas... they get lot's of things but then have to wait a whole year for more!
Now that both boys have new Nintendo DS XL's... all is good!
And, my husband went all out with my gifts. I got a new winter coat, boots, pj's, 10 or so new shirts, a couple of sweaters, cashmere scarf, 3 pairs of ear rings, umbrella, a book.... hmmm I must be forgetting something... THANKS RON!!!!!

Brothers hanging out! Lincoln was home sick from school for 2 days (fever and vomitting), so he wasn't "allowed" to be near and playing with the baby. Today, he was allowed to have contact again, so he spent a lot of time playing and reading to him.

My side of the family decided to have our annual family Christmas party early this year. So we packed up, and headed to my brother's home in Manvel (Houston). Boy, did they have a house full!!! The boys had a blast, of course... And it was soooo nice to see and spend time with my Mom, brother and his family, and my 2 sister's and their families.... Turkey Day and Misc

Apparently, I didn't take many pictures at our actual Thanksgiving get together! We went to Ron's uncle Stephen's and Aunt Karen's home. Karen's brother and her parents were there. Ron's aunt Nancy flew in from Florida to join us, and Ron's cousin Ginger was there with her 3 kids. 15 in all, the boys had fun playing with their cousins!

Made it home by midnight on Thanksgiving evening. Ron woke up this Friday morning, and decided to go out and get a turkey and all the fixin's, and prepared our small family of 5 our very own Thanksgiving #2. Now we have some traditional turkey leftovers (his goal!).

On another note: Lawson hasn't been sick in YEARS... However towards the end of the afternoon he started worrying b/c he had a high fever and was weak. Took him in to the after hours care and he has a double ear infection! He says his ears don't even hurt, but glad I took him in... they mentioned that his throat was also infected, so he is on a z-pack and I'm sure by morning he will back to his normal self! Wondering if he aquired the ear infections on his NY trip with the airplane pressure.... He came home from his vacation in a miserable mood for several days, and I just thought it was just him getting back to his routine.

On a more positive note: We were so proud of Lincoln today. Our little entrepreneur! He spent about 5 hours of his day today, in the freezing cold, HARD at work raking neighbor's leave's. Total earning by the end of the day: $32.00!!!! Way to go Lincoln, he worked hard! We envision our boys mowing the neighborhood yards when they are old enough! The Flower Mound Five traveled to old San Antonio this year for Thanksgiving! We spent the holiday with Ron's side of the family at his aunt & uncle's home.

The Big Hunt

Ron and Lawson had a 4 night vacation/hunting trip to Ron's home town in upstate New York. Last year, Lincoln went, so this year it was Lawson's turn. Ron actually came back with some great pictures, after I gave him a hard time about last year only taking low quality phone pictures that I couldn't do anything with! Love these pictures:

Even though it was 80degree's today, we tried to get into the holiday spirit by visiting winter wonderland at Bass Pro Shop. So happy to get "visit with Santa" checked off my to-do list early!

One of my long time friends (bridesmaid) Gabby made an impromptu visit to Great Wolf Lodge with her family. Great Wolf is literally down the street from me, so we joined her for some fun! Lincoln got to enjoy the water park, then we all had dinner together there on site. Everyone is given wolf ears to wear!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this kid. I'd have to say, he's pretty much as close to perfect as you would want for a son! My heart misses him so much as he spends so much time at school... Lincoln and I share a lot of our personality, we totally get each other! Besides that he is so outgoing and social (unlike me as a child), I can totally see myself in him.
It's also hard to see him "growing up"... He doesn't want to hold my hand in public, etc... And he has recently decided that Grammy and Nanny sound too baby-ish, so he now calls them Gram and Nan. To go along with Mom (NEVER mommy), Aunt Susan (instead of Auntie Sue Sue), no more "La La".... His Buzz Lightyear rain coat is "too baby-ish".... PLEASE don't keep growing up on me! He's so stinking mature!

Lawson's soccer season is over, his last game was on Saturday. No more soccer is bitter-sweet.
Bitter b/c we LOVED going to watch him play as a family, and he loved it and was an excellent player.
Sweet because no more soccer means freeing up 2-3 nights a week!

Drama Camp

This is Lincoln's 2nd year to go to a drama camp sponsored by the high school drama department. Lincoln LOVES being able to go to the HS and hang around the "teenagers"!! He has a special love for drama... he loves being in the spotlight. As part of the camp, they got to experience putting on their own stage makeup and this was his creation.

MY DAD (Grandpa Lucek) came in for a 2 night visit from Illinois. He came during Halloween weekend, so he got to experience lot's of the kids events. (He probably played a 100 games of checkers with the boy's while he was here!)

Lennox's 1st tooth appeared tonight! He must be one tough kid because we didn't even know he was teething! The only thing he did differently today was he "chewed" on his bottle (now I know why!) and his naps today were super short... Other than that, he was a super happy baby with no drooling. What's my secret? Power of Prayer (I'm 100% certain it's a God thing)

The baby and I were lucky enough to be able to go to Lawson's Fall party at school today. Lawson's "regular" costume is Darth Vador which was specifically listed as something they couldn't wear to school b/c it would be too scary... So he got to choose from a few of Lincoln's old costumes, and decided to be a skunk.
I love going to Halloween parties for kids that age and see them all dressed up! So cute!

He is perfectly healthy!!!
He had to have SIX vaccinations :( and is suffering from it today
Fortunately, they were combined and he took them with 3 pokes and 1 orally. No shots at his 9 month visit, so that will be nice!!!

He is also starting to eat some "real" foods now that he knows how to chew (gum) and swallow. He is eating some pasta, and super small bites of some of things we are serving. Other than that, he is eating my home made baby food and so isn't a picky eater, he will eat anything!
