Preschool Orientation

Last night Ron and I went to a "parents orientation" and meet the teacher for Lincoln's upcoming preschool. Ron and I got to sit in Lincoln's classroom in the itty bitty chairs and find out everything that Lincoln will be learning this upcoming school year. We had a babysitter, so after the meeting we had a little time to go to Parker Square for some ice cream.
This morning, Lincoln and I will go back to his school and he has "meet the teacher". He will get to meet the other kids in his class, he already knows his teacher, and just get excited about the school year. His first day will be next Tuesday.

New Post!!

Over to the left.... Please place your vote. It's totally anonomous and as easy as one click on your vote!!
This question stems from a conversation Tom and I were having this weekend (vote Tom)....

The Twins

Here are some pictures from last week with our lunch playdate at chick fil a with Maddie and Ryan. They look like little triplets when they are all together playing... By the way, Cara the twins, Tori and Mike are doing GREAT. Cara is such a great mom, she is an inspiration for me. She handles all 3 kids like it's a piece of cake. She made it through potty training TWO at a time (with a newborn) she deserves an award for that!!

FIve Years Ago

Can you believe this January, we will be celebrating our FIVE year anniversary?? I told Ron I wanted to take him Snow Skiing for our anniversary, we'll see if he agree's...

Our Wedding Party

We LOVED our wedding attendants. Wished we had room for more...

The Wedding

Ready for a round of wedding pictures? Now that I'm using my scanner, I'm trying to get some of these scanned and saved, and that means an easy way to share with you!

24 hr

I guess I got a combo of the 24 hr bugs that have been bouncing around my house. Yesterday, I was sick sick sick: vomitting, fever, achy, chills, all that fun stuff... But, somehow or another I managed to still due my mommy duties. This morning Ron took off the morning to help out, but I feel MUCH better now, it really was a 24 hr thing. Ron has Lawson at the dr for his 18 month Well Check.

Marine

Did you know my husband was a big bad MARINE??
(I've been going through his old pictures if you haven't figured that out...)

Monday Boys

Lawson today, playing on the couch. In this pic I notice some pinkness in his face. This was taken BEFORE I realized he was coming down with something (again). I put him to bed tonight with a 102.2. Hoping it's just a 24 hr thing.

Lincoln today. Nice new haircut. Nice Eyes. But where is the Smile?? I think I'm burning him out on posing for pictures... Of course, once again couldn't get a good one of the two of them together.
Oh yeah, when Courtney was here this weekend we got to get out to the outlet mall and buy the kiddo's some new clothes. I was getting so tired of all there old summer clothes, and they get worn out so quickly when you have active boys like mine.
Oh yeah, change of plans, we won't be going to SA this weekend. We will reschedule. Turns out Labor Day weekend didn't work well, and our moons didn't align....

Great Monday

We met up today for lunch with one of my long lost college friends who happens to live just about 2-3 miles from me! Shannon (Gordon) Webb. She has an adorable little boy, 2 years old. Shannon has got to be one of the NICEST people I have ever crossed paths with. Those of you who know her know what I am talking about: she is just one of those gals with tons of positive energy to share, someone who is so nice to be around. We have always hit it off in the past, so I am glad that we reconnected. AND the best part is she is joining my MOPS and I pulled some strings and got her to be in my group (I am a discussion group leader). We had lunch at Life's a Beach so the boys could all play in the sand in the 100 degree weather. Boy is it hot here.
Tomorrow after Lawsons gymnastics class, we are meeting some other freinds from church at a park. This girl is so nice, she just moved here from Chicago and has two little boys Lincoln and Lawsons age. She goes to our church, is in MOPS with me, and we had a womens bible study together. We went to McDonalds once after BS and the boys had a great time all playing together, so we want to get them back together. Anyway, off to list some things on ebay...

Weekend Visitors

We had a great time with our visitors this weekend, Tom, Courtney and Bristol. Here are a few pictures. Courteny has all the good ones, I was too busy chasing Lawson who was chasing Bristol (he thought she was a toy, sorry Bristol...) Come back soon if we didn't scare you off....

Ron hard at work

Some of you don't know this, but Ron used to milk the cows!! When Ron was 14, he had already began his love of work. He had a full time job on a farm in upstate NY. He had many responsibilities for a 14 yr old, including the cow milking. Here is a picture I located of him probably about 16 years old. He didn't want me to post this, but I love this picture, don't you Nanny??

Playdate

We invited Emily over for the day for a playdate before she starts full time school next week and we won't get to see her much. We took her to Kids Castle Park, then we came home and did some arts and crafts including the indian vests you see in the pic, we played outside, played inside, then ate lunch at McDonald's, then took her home. We had lots of fun...

Baby Ron

This is a picture of RON in the hospital the day he was born. Looks a lot like Lawson when he was first born.

MOM

While my Mom was visiting, I realized that I DID inherit some things from her (most would agree that we are pretty different...). Here are a few of things I discovered came straight from her. (Mom, can you think of any more???)

1. My need to arrive everywhere 15 minutes early, at least. Or 30 minutes. Then I wonder why I rushed to get there early.

2. Folding laundry stinks, but doing dishes is okay.

3. Taking LOTS and LOTS of pictures....

4. Using coupons, and being "sneaky" with them.

5. Being able to sit and watch the kids play for hours on end. Love to watch them.

6. Insomnia, but also naps.

7. Reality tv, but no I just can't stand big brother...

8. Cats over Dogs.

9. I like to make swedish pancakes and chocolate chip cookies. Love to bake for and with the kids. And breakfast is okay to eat for dinner if Daddy isn't coming home to eat.

10. Would rather spend money on kids or hubby than myself. I do go shopping for myself, but then I end up coming home with some things for the boys... My Mom always does this. Sometimes it's just hard to spend money on myself.

11. People watching/observing. What are they thinking???

Lincoln's Scanned Artwork

The Flower Mound Four, according to Lincoln. Pretty good for a 3 year old!!

Nap Together??

This was cute, they "tried" to take a nap together in Mommy's bed. Didn't work, but it was fun trying... (that is Lawson saying CHEEEEEEESE)

Face

Some of you remember when Lawson was just a baby he was full of silly noices and sound effects. Nowadays he is full of facial expressions. He makes the most hilarious faces, and Ron and I just crack up at him. Where did he learn this from? You can tell a lot boy the faces he makes. BTW, he is TALKING A LOT the last couple of days, get him in the right mood and he is mr. chatterbox...
We are off to meet Ryan, Maddie, and Tori (well, and Cara) at Chick Fil A for lunch. When school starts, it is going to be a tough challenge to get together because of our schedules. We will have to be creative, Our BOYS LOVE the Wueste's...

Poll

I added a poll to the left. Please VOTE. Thanks in Advance...

We Like:

The new chocolate CHEX cereal. Yummy
The new cereal straws, try the cocoa puffs one with your coffee, Yummy.
The new cinnamon flavored Wheat Thins, Great Snack!!
Kroger brand Moose Tracks ice cream, almost as good a Blue Bell...

Info on FMFour

1. Lawson has spent 3 nights in his big boy bed, and is doing GREAT.
2. Lawson had his first gymnastics class this morning and LOVED it. This was the first time Lincoln had to be on the reverse side watching and not participating. That was hard for him and pretty sad for me. The coach told him to come into the room and sit on the matts and watch. So he had a good time with two other older kids on the mats.
3. We are on our way to meet freinds at Sun Valley waterpark.
4. Tom, Courtney, and Bristol will be coming for a visit this weekend. YAH!!!
5. Ron bought us a new big screen plasma TV. It is soooo nice. We have never invested in a nice TV, and didn't know what we were missing.
6. Boys and I will be going to SA soon, while Ron does some house projects...
7. ebay is finally picking up again. But I've been working with lots of lets say wacky to be nice customers. I guess the ebay thing attracts some pretty interesting people....
8. Lincoln fell last night and has a large lump/bump on the middle of his forehead. BOYS. I'm probably going to be getting that grey hair soon.
9. I'm glad Dean stayed away from us and our family.

New Today

I added five pictures we took today, over there in Flickr, go check them out....

Weekend Wrapup

This weekend was full of long bike rides, cooler weather, eating dinner out twice, grocery shopping, Ron working but coming home to some fun, going to Tori Wuestes baptism party, but our big news is Lawson is now in a BIG BOY BED. Bye Bye to the crib. At 19 months, this is a bit challenging. However, this is his second night in the bed and all is well... Lincoln put pillows on the floor by Lawson's bed in case he rolled off. Lincoln also told Lawson if he needed anything in the middle of the night to come into his room and wake him up and he would help him out. Lincoln told him he could hug him if he was crying or scared, and if he didn't stop crying then Lincoln would bring him to me. He came up with this on his own, sweet big brother.... Lincoln says Lawson is a big boy now because he can open up doors...

Flickr

Notice a few changes on my blog?? Thanks to Jen I finally found out that I needed to update my template in order to get my Flickr on my home page. What does this mean to you?? Well, you can go over there on the left and click on it to see a bunch of pictures of us. Right now there are only some really old pics in there, but I'm going to start dropping in new ones.

Lollipop

The boys both still love their Lollipops!!

Red Car

Don't all little boys LOVE the Little Tikes Car. I can't believe how many hours and hours of fun this thing has brought to us over the past 3 years. And I think I bought it at a garage sale for $3.00!!

More Hugs

Looks like so many of their other pictures, but here are the boys this morning hugging. Looks more like Lincoln is strangling him a bit...

Bye Bye PlayPen

Lawson has been getting out of his pack and play playpen, so I had to put it away. It was so nice to have it bc he would sleep in our room in the play pen for nap time so the boys wouldn't wake each other up. Oh well, it's been working fine... And having it out of our room after 18 months is a VERY nice thing, it took up so much space.
AND when Ron comes home today (he is working today Saturday) I am going to talk to him about Lawsons crib being converted to a big boy bed. Scary... But, Lawson can get out of his crib easily, and I don't want any more broken bones, so big boy bed here we come.....
ALSO, Lawson has been getting hives for three days. He has an appt to see the dr and they want to do some allergy testing on him....

Hope to see you soon. Tell the boys HI

Fathers Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO GRANDPA LUCEK, my Dad. Hope it's a good year for you and see you in November when you come to Dallas to visit.

Bristol Update

My cutie neice Bristol....

Jen and Mark

It's finally up, our new picture on our picture wall. Jen
(my sister) and Mark...Great Picture.

Build a Bunny

Lawson loves to sleep with his new Build a Bear bunny, Jelly Bean. I'd sleep with that thing too, it is so soft and cushy... And Lincoln's Build a Bear Puppy, Lucky, is now named Lucky Carson Willy Coke. He wanted him to have a middle name (same as his), and a last name, and just one more name. lol. It's harder than you think to remember all the names your children make for their animals...

Lincoln at 18m

Here is Lincoln at 18 months, same as Lawson's current age. I guess his hair was a lot blonder than it is now. And I can see a lot of similarities between the boys in this pictures. Curious to see what Lawson will look like in two years!!

Brothers

This is what I like to see, some brotherly love....

Monday, August 13

106

Yesterday, we hit our first over 100 degree weather for the summer. Today it was 106, even too hot to be outside in the pool. Lawson gets so overheated quickly...
We are going on a playdate tomorrow to a water park so we will stay cooled off.
By the way, I had 3 visits to the chiropractor and my back feels so. much. better.

Saturday, August 11

Bday

Someone tell Ron I want a CHI for my birthday. And explain to him that this is different from a CHIA pet.... I of all people need a CHI due to my frizzy curly hair...

Date Night

This is for you Nanny... Ron and I on our date night last week.

Coffee Poll

Thank you for all your poll participation on the Starbucks poll. Apparantly it is not neccesary to tip at Starbucks, and now I feel better....
By the way, on the way to the family trip my sister, Susan, got a Starbucks to drink on the way. She got a Venti with THREE extra expresso shots..... I was making fun of her, but now I know how she feels. My mom sent me the Starbucks frappucinno recipe. I messed up on the portions and made Ron and I the equivalent of EIGHT frappacino's, and you know I couldn't let the extra's go to waste.... Hence, these late night posts...

Lawson Swims...

Now that Lawsons cast is off, we took both boys to Lifetime to swim. Lincoln is swimming for real now, and Lawson loves the water and being dunked all the way under. He has no fear yet.
