Faces

Some of the captured funny faces of Lawson:

Dentist, VBS

Lincoln went to the dentist today for a cleaning, flouride check up. No cavities (go out for icecream?), perfect teeth. Congrats.

Lincoln will also go to Vacation Bible School this week. Yes, AGAIN. This will be his 3rd week of VBS this summer. He LOVES bible school, anytime anywhere. He loves learning the bible stories, the songs, loves to pray, etc... SOOO, our neighbors invited him to attend their VBS which is just around the corner from us, bike riding distance. He will go from 6:30-8:30pm every night this week. The theme is "boot camp". He. Is. So. Excited. Also, that will give me a couple of hours to give EXTRA EXTRA attention to our little Lawson...

Aunts

Hello to all my Aunts (the boys Great Aunts) who check in on the blog from all over the country (Colorado, Alaska, Illinois, etc...). You gals are some of the smartest and most successful women I know!!

Diego

Lincoln and I will be picked up by Darla and Emily in just a little bit for our big Go Diego Go Live Performance. I'm aware that most of you probably aren't familiar with Diego, but he is a BIG deal for the little one's. He is Dora's cousin if that helps. Anyway, we got tickets in the center 4th row, so we will be like Diego groupies today...

Ron has been busy building a new fence all weekend. The storms/wind/etc.. blew one side of our fence totally down so Ron and neighbor Bob (mostly Ron!!) tore down the old one are working on the new one. It is storming out right now, but they are still busy at work...

A little over a week Lawson will get his cast off, hopefully for good. I am going to give him an HOUR long bath as soon as we get home, poor boy hasn't been able to take a bath... THEN I am going to let him run through the sprinklers, we will go swimming, and go play in the sand. All the things he couldn't do before!!

Random

I bought four Coach Purses on the way back from the Lake Trip at the outlet mall in Round Rock. I have them all listed on ebay, my plan is to double my money, but hope to make a minimum of $50.00 on each. I sold my first one tonight.

Ron isn't feeling well.

Mom R. We got the cute John Deere shirts today, THANKS

Lincoln and I are going to GO DIEGO GO show on Sunday.

Mom Smith is coming in TWO weeks!!

Swimming This Morning

Lincoln and I spent a couple of hours this morning swimming at Lifetime while Lawson had some playtime in the child center. He can swim again in two weeks when he gets his cast off (hopefully...)

Bye Bye Old Friend

Lawson no longer gets a bottle at bedtime. About. Time.... We took it away cold turkey. He went one day without drinking any milk, then started to drink it out of the sippy cup.
One more baby thing, GONE. It's hard to do with your little one. The only "baby" thing left for him is diapers!!

Play Date

Playing in the back of our truck, exciting times...

The Wuestes came over today for a play date. Tori (yes that is Tori!) liked swinging in the swing and Lincoln, Ryan, Maddie, and Lawson jumped
in the bounce house, rode trikes, came inside to play, ate lunch, etc... Great to See them!!

Messy, Again

Paint

We decided to do some painting today, and I am glad about the decision to do it OUTSIDE. Lawson is still learning how to paint, and at this point enjoys the body painting....

We Are Back

We are back from our 4 day family trip to the Lakehouse. The house was even better than the website portrayed, it was perfect. More to come, busy unpacking, but wanted to let everyone know that we had an injury free, fun vacation...
Matthew (my nephew), Lincoln and Ron grilling marshmallows on the grill..

Yum, they were good!!

Lawson and Bristol had fun playing together!!

The Whole Fam... We never like the way we look in these Lakehouse pictures...

Lincoln and La La taking a rest... They needed it...

Foot Update

Took Lawson to the orthopedic specialist today. Put on a more perm cast covering, the last one was "split" bc of the swelling he still had. Looking good as far as we know. The cast isn't stopping him much anymore, he is everywhere dragging that cast... We go back in 3 weeks to get the cast taken off, new xrays, and hopefully that will be it...
Oh yeah, he got a camoflauge cast....

Lakehouse

Check out the LAKEHOUSE we have rented this weekend for our FAMILY TRIP. All four of us siblings, my mom, plus all our families will be making it for this 3 night/4 day adventure... Looking. Forward. To. It.

Sticker Game

The first day Lawson broke his foot, we had to be creative in what he was capable of doing. So, we decided to let him see just how many stickers he could put on Daddy's face...(and Lincoln had stamps all over his body, thanks to La La- that stuff doesn't come off easily!!)

The FOOT

OK, I wasn't going to post a pic of poor Lawson and his cast, but due to all the requests I'm giving in!! It just breaks my heart to see. This is him in our front yard right now playing in the bounce house. It's one thing he can do for excercise for the rest of his body... He likes to sit there and have Lauren bounce him up and down on his bottom.
He is now walking on his cast, he is wobbly but he can do it!! He doesn't seem to be in pain anymore, he just gets fussy bc he is frustrated. He gets a new cast on Wednesday.

Tube

Found this tube up in the attic, so brought it down for Lincoln to take to the family lake trip. So, now he is attatched to it, he has to take a bath with it and today he took a nap with it!!
Today we went to Lincoln's gymnastics, ran some errands, and went to the mall. Lauren wanted to buy some board shorts for the trip. She babysat my neighbors 2 little boys, and made $30.00 for 3 hours and they were mostly asleep!! I don't ever remember making this much!! The boys played in the play area at the mall, and we ran into my friend Debbie from college and her kiddos Ben and Hannah. So Lincoln had a blast playing with his freinds!! Then they took great naps (me too).

Catch Up

Lots Lots Lots Going On, My Head is Actually Spinning.
Friday: Took Lawson to the orthopedic specialist, they put on a "split cast" because there still was so much swelling. He will go back on Wed to get a more permanent cast on. He seems to be doing well, nothing is going to stop him... He needs to be monitored 24 7 because he is already trying to climb, etc... He seems to be in good spirits, is sleeping better, and just getting used to the whole cast thing and trying to get around, mostly by crawling but does take a couple steps here and there.

Saturday: We FINALLY had our garage sale. We had 15 people here at 6:30 in the am. We made over 200.00 so it was worth our time. By 11:00 we were basically giving things away. Then we packed up the rest and donated it.
Then we headed on over to a neighbors bday party. Put up the bounce house that night.

Sunday: FINALLY we made it to Six Flags. No rain, no broken bones today. Ron stayed back with Lawson and I took Lauren and Lincoln. In the am, there were NO lines, and we were able to stay on some rides twice. Had a great time....

At the end of this week, we will be going on the Lucek Family Vacation....

Poor Lawson

This is a hard post for me to write. I haven't had a chance to tell many of you this bc I've had my hands full, but Lawson broke his left foot today. He fell off a chair in the kitchen and hit the tile. We have an appt in the morning with an orthopedic specialist. He has on a temporary cast right now, and will get a permanent one tomorrow. No walking for 4-6 weeks. If you know Lawson at all, you understand what a challenge this is going to be.
Keep our little one in your prayers for fast and easy healing.

Puppy Chow

Teamwork: We all chipped in and made some Puppy Chow, which is Crispex cereal coated with chocolate and peanut butter and powdered sugar, it's yummy. But of course the boys made a mess right after I mopped. I don't think Lauren realized once again how it is to cook with 2 toddlers helping....

So, off to a bath once again...

Then we headed for dinner with Ron at Bari's Pizza Place, and hope to get to the Galleria mall tomorrow for some shopping!!

My Hubby

I might get in trouble for posting this, but this is my husbands HIGH SCHOOL Senior picture...Awwwwww

Fruity

We haven't made it to Six Flags yet, but we are still having fun with Lauren. I think she has discovered that sitting down to have a quick snack isn't as easy as it used to be at home.

Last night, Lauren treated us to Marble Slab ice cream, then we went to Kids Castle park. Today, La La caught up on her sleep while we went up to church for Bible Study.

Monday, July 9

La La is HERE!! She got in last night. We have kept her busy all ready. We headed out to watch Lincoln's gymnastics class this am, then after coming home for lunch we went to a waterpark called Sun Valley, just a few miles down the road. We stayed there for 3 hours so we are all pooped. We all got some sun and PLENTY of exercise. We enjoyed the lazy river, la la went down the slides and the boys liked the toddler pool. See where we went, click here: http://www.cityoflewisville.com/wcmsite/publishing.nsf/Content/Pool+Locations+and+Information
Came home for Taco's, then took the boys on a bike ride to the fishing pond and tried to go fishing with a broken fishing pole, well we will get that fished while La La is here she loves fishing.
Tomorrow is our BIG DAY to go to Six Flags Theme Park. Hoping the weather cooperates. This is Lincoln's big reward for no more nail biting!!

Saturday, July 7

We headed on down to Fort Worth today to see some artwork at the Arts

Museum, not exactly a great place to take toddlers, but nonetheless we saw what we went for. Then we headed over to the Stockyard for lunch, and Lincoln got to ride this REAL Texas Longhorn. The boys also had balloon hats made by a clown, and got to visit an old fashioned candy store!!

The Fireworks. We headed out the the Flower Mound High School to watch the amazing firework show. As I said earlier, both boys enjoyed the show. The last picture is of Lawson kicking back on Daddy's lap enjoying the "pop pop" show....
