Thursday

We had so much fun today at Cara's. We went to the splash park, and Ryan, Maddie, Lincoln, and Lawson all had so much fun. Then we ventured on over to the playground, and then over to their house for lunch. Thanks Cara!! Tori is getting so big, and she is so sweet and adorable (5 months now).

Anyone know anything about hives? Lincoln woke up from his nap today with Hives all over his whole body including his face, yuck.... I gave him Benydryl and put on that medicated powder... Seemed to work. The only time he has had hives was when he was allergic to a medicine about a year ago. He ate some rasberries over at Cara, and I am wondering if he is allergic??? Could the reaction come 5 hours later??

For Auntie Sue Sue

Yup, Someone who loves the boys very much went to NY and brought them back these Tshirts.

And Yup, Lincoln is about to catch a jumping Lawson: their new game...Yikes, boys...

Yesterday, we had our lunch outside on the picnic table in the rain, then went on a bike ride in the rain. Just because that is what they do around here. But, I made my decision. I can't like being in the rain....
Last week, Cara, the twins, and baby all came over to play and for lunch. Lincoln has so much fun playing with them, they are only 2 months apart. So, tomorrow we are headed over there to play, and maybe go to the Splash Park in their neighborhood.

Our Memorial Day

Well, we decided what to do today. We packed up our bikes (and car) and headed down to the big duck pond for the day. We played basketball, did some fishing, played on the playground, fed the ducks, grilled out hotdogs and had a picnic. ALL IN THE RAIN. Oh yeah, and the boys played in the MUD...

Memorial Day

Hope everyone has a great day off, and doing something somewhat relaxing and somewhat fun. We will be remembering all those who lost their lives fighting for our country.
Lincoln found a new hobby, Fishing. I found the fishing pole you gave him Reaah a couple of years ago, as I was cleaning out his closet today. We took him down to our small duck pond, not the big one with the park, but the small one at the end of our street. There are a lot of fish and turtles in the pond, with plenty of catch and release fishers. Well, Lincoln's 1st time for real fishing, he caught TWO fish, and one turtle. ALL BY HIMSELF.... So, looks like we will be doing a lot more fishing...
Both boys look like they have chicken pox, because of all the mosquito's around here. Lincoln attracts them and gets the most bites, but Lawson has some kind of reaction to the bites, and they swell up like welts.... Poor boys.
It has been Raining ALOT around here, opposite of last year with absolutely no rain. We love it. We went bike riding in the rain tonight. It's funny around here, when it is raining there are people jogging, biking, pushing strollers, walking, fishing, playing in the park. I've never seen such a thing, but rain just doesn't stop anyone. In fact, we were fishing in the rain tonight. And the boys were able to go out and splash in puddles during a short burst. They were shouting and singing in the rain, we even video taped it.
Ron grilled us up some steaks tonight, and Lincoln and I went out to do our weekly grocery shopping. Still not sure what we will do tomorrow, but Ron is officially taking off of work. It's supposed to rain again, that's okay with us...

TOMMY

OK, So my POOR little brother, Tom (Tommy to us) had to grow up with three older sisters. From what I remember, he was always having FUN times with us.... I guess he was left out a lot. AND when I posted our pictures of us growing up a couple of months ago, he wasn't in any of the pictures... SO, here are some SUPER CUTE pictures of my baby brother... He was always a great brother!! (and... there are more pics where these came from...)

Ron's Bday

Had a great time celebrating Ron's Birthday. Here are some pics of the excitement. Lincoln decorated the cake, but Lawson dug into it.

Ron is off for Memorial Day, but we don't know what we are going to do yet. Anyone else have exciting plans?? Most likely chance of rain here...

Weekend Update

FRIDAY Night: We tried out a new seafood restaurant, someone in my MOPS group opened it up. We'll be back!

SATURDAY: I went out early morning, before 7am to get some garage sales in, looking for good ebay items... Then the boys and I went out to Frisco for a birthday party: Jen's best friend, someone we grew up with in SA, lives here in Dallas and her son just turned one (she is a Cynthia, too...). Great outdoor park party, complete with BBQ and snowcones... Adorable baby Brody....
After the BOYS took a long nap, Lincoln was able to go to Win Kids for a parents night out. It was from 6:30pm to 10:00. So, Ron and I had a parents night in... Put Lawson to bed, then we had sushi and rented a movie (Night Listener with Robin Williams, true story). And Lincoln stayed at what he called his "camp out" until 10:00, and boy did he come home with some stories to tell!!

SUNDAY: Made it to church after several of Satan's attempts to keep us from there.... Came home, took a couple hour bike ride hitting several parks, including one we found called Lawson Park. After naps, we went to grocery shop, and Ron grilled out steaks, corn on the cob, and potatoes. Yum!! It's his "Birthday Week", so we have been celebrating...

MONDAY: Car inspected, car washed, clothes dropped off at dry cleaners, movie returned, 2.5 hours spent playing at Chuck E Cheese, bike riding, fun fun fun all around.
PS: I'm so glad he chose Tessa!!!

Awards Day

FRIDAY: Lincoln's last day of his gymnastics class. It was Awards Day, where they all earn awards and the parents are all allowed to come in and watch them. Lincoln will be taking another class this summer, on Mondays. He LOVES Win Kids!!

Like Father, Like Son. Thats all I'm going to say.

Lawsy

Climbing all over the benches at one of our favorite hang outs, Southlake Town Square. Wouldn't sit still for a pic, so this is the best I got.

The big blue eyes, the adorable smile, my cleft chin, the soft silky blonde curly hair, the soft baby skin, the hugs, the giggles, the words, the determination, the persistence, the curiosity...... I. Am. In. Love.

Lawson had his 15 month Well Check today. He is perfectly healthy (Thank You Jesus). He now weighs 27 lbs (75%) and is 31.5 inches (50%). He had a DPT shot, and didn't cry, however suffered the uneasiness this evening. Both were well behaved at the dr office, so I rewarded them with picking up some corndogs and going to a really fun park. Great naps, Great dinner, Great Bike rides, then we cleaned the garage. Hope your day was as fun and eventful as ours.

Happy Birthday Jen

Happy Birthday to Jen Jen... Hope you have a great day and a great year!! Hope you heard Lincoln's voicemail singing you Happy Birthday. Enjoy the Spa from us.

Happenings

The Mothers Day present Lincoln made for me at MOPS, Love it... One of our new tiffany chandeliers for the kitchen, inspired by Nanny.

Another one in the dining room, pic coming soon.

The boys playing with play doh, TOGETHER.

Play doh playset given to us by Cara...

MONDAY: Our LAST Mops meeting for the year (we only meet during the school year). Looking forward to next year, I'll be a discussion group leader again.

Went to Lincoln's preschool for some paperwork, he will be going to a "summer preschool session", which is every Tuesday and Thursday am for the month of June. It will be good for us all, me to see how it will be when he starts school next year, him to get familiar with the school and teachers, and the teachers there to get used to his "personality" before the fall session starts. And it's supposed to be lot's of fun....

This is what he will be learning about:

Jump into summer fun and excitement as they discover fresh water pond life while engaging in activities about frogs, beavers, turtle, and fish. Handmade sailboats, water lilies, puppets, and picnic placemats will keep them entertained. Reinforcing academic concepts such as numbers, letters, sounds, shapes, colors, ryme/rythm, small and large motor skills, social skills, opposites, language, and literacy. Packed with fun, hands on activities, creativity, imaginative thinking and lots of opportunities for outdoor fun.

He is going to have so much fun!!

Then after dinner, we went bike riding, good day. Good naps.

TUESDAY: Took car in for a wash, went grocery shopping, Happy Meal at McDonalds, Lincoln had a good nap but Lawson had a short one. Had our most miserable cookie making experience (secret ingredients added), that's ok next time will be better. These wont be going to the neighbors or sold on ebay...
And tonight I get to go out for Moms Night Out dinner at Southlake Townsquare, Trulucks. Looking forward to it.

Busy, Busy week ahead. Please don't get upset at me if I don't call you back for a few days... Next week is much more free...

MY MOM

And here is a picture taken this weekend of MOM and all four of us kiddo's. We are sitting youngest to oldest, this wasn't planned. Actually, I suggested the sitting down pic because then I don't look so short compared to Tom and Jen...

Happy Mothers Day

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY From the bottom of our hearts for our two wonderful moms out there. We LOVE you and thank you for all you have done for us over our lifetime. Now that we are parent's ourselves we can appreciate what you did for us.
We also want to wish a Happy Mother's Day to all of our other family and friends and friends out there that are mothers.
I myself love Mothers Day, because I have the whole day to reflect on what it has meant to me being a mother. Sometimes I just can't believe I am so fortunate to have two perfectly wonderful son's.

Trip to Lucek's

Lincoln wanted to "hold" Bristol.

Lincoln and Grammy.
Lawson and Bristol hugging.

Poor Uncle Tom...

We drove into Houston (it took us 6 1/2 hrs!!), and stayed THREE nights (poor Lucek's!!).... Ron worked in Houston on Friday, while the boys and I along with Tom, Courtney, and Bristol spent the day together playing, including going to a fun bounce house. On Friday night, Grammy, Sue, Lauren, and Matthew joined us all and Tom and Courtney served us a yummy baked ziti dinner... Then Saturday was the BIG day. First they had a birthday party for Bristol, and Grandpa Lucek and Evelyn flew in from Chicago, and Jen and Mark also got into town... After the bday party, we all went to the church service where we had Bristol's dedication. Ron is honored to have been chosen to be Bristol's Godfather... Ron even picked out on his own a beautiful jewelry box for Bristol from Tiffany's. What a great weekend, and thanks to the Lucek's for being GREAT hosts. Hope we are still allowed back, lol.... The Boy's LOVED playing with Bristol. Lincoln liked trying to make her laugh, and Lawson and her liked to play catch and with the baby toys together. Lawson would even try to feed her the sippy cup if she dropped it. But most of all, Bristol enjoyed watching my crazy boys run, jump, and climb around....

Wednesday, May 9

Busy Week

MONDAY: Met Cara, Tori, Ryan, and Maddie for a fun playdate. I'm so glad she lives near me!! Lincoln threw up, and kept in all in his mouth and came to me to spit it out. Then he took his shirt off bc it was dirty, and he won't wear anything dirty, so he continued to play at Central Market playarea half naked.
Ron and I took the boys out for a bike ride and some park time after our veggie quiche dinner. Ron's bike got a flat, and it started to storm. The storm was so bad from 3 am to 4:15 am that ron, lincoln, and myself were all awake hiding under the covers.

TUESDAY: Make up class at Win Kids for Lincoln. He did great. He accidently smacked Coach Jack in the eye. Ooops, he felt so bad. Lincoln smashed his finger in the car door (its ok), and complained about a stomache ache. I had to spoil him a bit.
I went out to get us IBC and blue bell for root beer floats. Right outside the door I dropped the glass bottles, shattering all over our patio, oops. I walked into the house smelling like burnt plastic b/c I burned a spoon in the dishwasher. It still smells today, ooops.
Took the boys out for a bike ride and to the park again after a hamburger casserole dinner.

WEDNESDAY: Last day at Community Bible Study. We will be returning next Fall for a 30 week study on Romans.
The boys took a 3 hour nap today, wow. Sold 50 items on ebay in the past 10 days.
Lincoln did well at swim lessons this afternoon. Had leftovers. No bike ride due to the RAIN. We love the rain.

Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend at Bristol's party.

Smiles

I laughed aloud when I saw this picture. I think it's funny bc they both have the exact same look.... I was trying to get a pic of them hugging. Lawson has been going around giving us all hugs, it's soooo cute.

The Ball Game

Ron and Lincoln had a great time at the Texas Rangers Baseball game last night. They Won AND Lincoln and Ron got to visit the dugout:

Big Sis

Happy Birthday to my Older Sister, Sue!!! Hope you have a great day and we will be seeing you in a couple of days... (btw... this is your bday card!!)

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Ron and Lincoln went out tonight to the Texas Rangers Baseball Game. Lincoln was so excited: mostly about the cracker jacks, singing take me out to the ballgame, trying to catch a ball with his mit.... He insisted on wearing his Bugs Bunny ear hat (from auntie sue sue) to the game.....
Lawson and I are staying home and catching up on housework!! Well, he's sleeping already, but I'm about to clean the whole house while it's so quiet!! Then at 9 watch 48 Hours Mystery...

SunGlasses

Has anyone else given in to the newest trend of the HUGE sunglasses?? Well, I'm guilty and I am now a HUGE sunglass wearer!! At first when everyone started wearing them I thought they looked ridiculous, well they started growing on me, and RON was responsible for picking me up a pair of Ann Klein's at the Sunglass Hut, and I LOVE them.... I'll never go back to small one's (well, not until this fad is over...).
I also got a new Pink Razor phone, and love that too....Fits right in my back pocket!!

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY TO BRISTOL!!!!

Random Ramblings

Here is what Lawson did while we were at Disney world, he was spoiled by Nanny!! Sorry Ron about the pink lei...
It's Wednesday already, what a great week we have been having... We are on our way right now to Lincoln's Swim lessons, he is asleep and I'll have to wake him up at the last second to go... Last week, he didn't like swim lessons bc the water was too cold, hopefully this week he will be more cooperative, he tried to leave class several times...But he is doing well in the water and we are looking forward to the outdoor pool opening for the summer. We have been loving our bike riding every evening after dinner!!
Reaah, check your mail in a couple of days, lol.
Mom S, got your check today, guess it went to someone elses house, you had the right address, postmans fault...
I completed my THIRTY week Bible Study on Revelations today... WOW, it was great... For the summer I'm taking a bible study on being a Christian Wife... Lucky Ron...
Lincoln can't stop talking about going to Bristol's party, and we can't wait to go either (she is turning ONE already!!) And walking????
Ron put a new water heater in our attic. I think he is the only I know that would do that by HIMSELF. Do you know how heavy those things are?? Well, he invented some "pully" system to get the old one out and get the new one up there..... Thanks Ron!! Now our water is HOT and not brown!! Our fence blew down yesterday, the joys of a 12 year old home!!! But we LOVE our house and neighborhood so we don't complain about all the repairs... And my husbands loves that kind of stuff!! He begs me to put things on his "to do" list.... As long as I write it down on his list, it gets DONE... Love it!! Time to go wake up the Lincster....
